I read somewhere that I shouldn't drink water with my meals. I guess this doesn't apply to juice because I also read that I should add water to fill my container if I don't plan on drinking my juice right away. This morning I had about half green juice half pure water. Is this ok or is it too diluted? I'm still getting the nutrients, aren't I? Confused :(
Yes you shouldnt drink water with your meals, it dilutes the digestive juices in your stomach....nutrients wont get properly absorbed, this same princple applies to juices as well. Drink your water first and wait atleast 30mins and have your juice....why did you combine the two?
Mariam-
Thanks. I only had enough green juice to fill my bottle halfway & I read that it will oxidize unless you fill it up to the very top by adding water : /
I was listening to a podcast on oneradionetwork and the doc said adding raw honey to your juice will keep the enzymes intact, if you were planning on drink it later and not within the 15min
LOL well it seems logical to me, too, but a LOT of different sources I've read (Natalia Rose's books being one) have said that you shouldn't drink water with your meals because it dilutes your body's natural enzymes, making it harder to digest foods. *shrug*
Everyone has different opinions I guess. I for one am no expert in any food related field but it just seems to me that I digest food better drinking LOTS of water, and I feel better. I think it really goes back to doing what feels right to your own body... because we are all different!

I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...
