Give it to me Raw

I hope this one doesnt cause controvery , but these two different forms of raw eating are in almost direct opposition from each other. 80/10/10 says fats are a bad thing ( even healthy fats ) and we should be eating almost excluively fruits. The PH Miracle by Dr Robert young recommends 'Alkalising foods' that keep the blood stream clean and healthy, he doesnt recommend eating a lot of fruit because as far as the blood is concerned, its all glucose and it feeds bacteria and causes acidic waist. I suppose they are both good in a way.. compared to any standard diet of junk, but is there anything in Dr Youngs theory of Alkalising.. from a personal point of view, Dr Young is the most scientific sounding, he seems to be right into his research and scientific observation and seems to know what he is talking about, the other guy seems a tiny bit arrogant, not that this should matter of course, so im just interested in anyones personal experience and even scientific input to see what they think

Worst is combining fruit AND fat, not eating fruit OR fat...

what is interesting is I havent done too well on fruits as yet, I have had a really bad diet up to this point though, Im from the west of Scotland and you can just imagine the kinds of things in our national diet .. so I believe that I would definetely have problems with blood sugar and microbes.. I am thinking that perhaps 80/10/10 is an ok thing for those who have already got to a better state of balance in there blood etc, then things can function properly and not have the acidic waist problem.. just my theory as to why some people respond better to more fruit and less aft and vice versa

My theory is that people who live in cold climates, where the diet is traditionally animal & grain products, will never do well for long on high fruit.

If your people have lived there long enough to have evolved a longer nose, smaller chin, paler eyes, skin, & hair, then they've loved there long enough to have evolved to eating different types of foods as well.

I do believe that raw, or as little cooking/ processing as possible will be best. Since grains are not so digestable raw, and most veg are, animal & veg seems the right idea for pale skinned, colder climate peoples.

I was thinking about this a lot, Susan, and trying to research what my ancestors in Europe might have eaten. Do you know of any sources that can tell me what they ate? I keep hitting dead ends.

not all adaptations are necessarily good or irreversible (you can look into Fred Bisci's work for the vegan/cleansing perspective). I DO think peoples inheritance plays a large role, but doesn't necessarily dictate limits or parameters. That said, European ancestors (how far back?) probably ate fairly limited diets that supplied the basics like many cultures around the world.

I think the indigenous Swiss are listed in Weston Price's work? never really thought to look into it, even though I am Swiss, on a quick Google search:

In 1932 when Dr. Price visited the people of the Loetschental Valley in Switzerland, he found that no deaths had occurred from tuberculosis in the history of the valley. They had neither physician nor dentist, no policeman nor jail because they had no need for them.

on further inspection,

looks like the bulk was home made rye bread and pastured raw dairy products.."extremely high in minerals" due to the soil/grasses acorrding to Price.

the soil made for unually good hay, pasturage, and good quality rye

yes, not for me either, but people can probably do well on this (even though alot of it has to do with the enviroment/elements of health), just sharing info, I've actually never recommended price before...but seemed appropriate. depends on how one defines ancestors. for ancestors that were fairly healthy, you don't have to go too far back. For some/most..getting off the modern foods is enough.

I think the most recent finding of 'ice-man' types, it was found remnants of fish matter, and some kind of museli of various seeds that don't even really exist anymore
Yummy. I imagine they also ate rotting carcasses when they could find them, but that doesn't mean I'm going to. Just looking for info, that's all. :) And there is a lot of info here now; thank you!

Most epic sentence ever:

The production of ATP also has CO2 as a bi product which is acidic, so if your body can't get rid of those acidic wastes then those acids will be stored in your extra cellular matrix further altering your body chemistry causing your blood to become too alkaline to compensate for an ever increasing acidity in your tissue which affects the red cells ability to release oxygen around your body due to the Bohr effect and also begins altering the internal terrain further which can cause a deteriorating bacterial imbalance further lowering zeta potential of red blood cells which begin to stick together and further reduce oxygen delivery around your body which then affects the efficiency of cell function further including the process of burning of sugar into fuel and so it goes on.

Have you ever read 80/10/10?? That book is loaded with both science and intuitive reasoning.

Personally, overt fat clogs my blood. It makes me sluggish. I like fast flowing clean blood and activity. So I go the low-fat, high fruit route.

have you seen it clog your blood, how do you know this? sorry just interested :)
