In honor of Philip's top ten raw foods list, I thought I'd take the opposite tack and ask what raw foods people on here dislike. I won't phrase it as a top ten list, since I very much doubt any of us could find 10 raw foods to hate.
Personally, I have never been a fan of mushrooms or eggplant.
hm squashes are a hit or miss for me. i tend to like them better juiced but i still can't enjoy yellow squash in a salad.
tomatoes are another one. i love them mixed with other things but i can't eat a plain tomato. i've tried and tried but i just can't get past the taste.
hm this might be it...i absolutely LOVE mushrooms, cilantro, blueberries, and raspberries! soo good!
and i honestly haven't tried eggplant since turning raw. i had really only had it a couple times in eggplant parmigiana so i guess i should see what i can do with it now.
I don't like avocados unless it is seasoned so well I don't taste the avocadiness. Brazil nuts unless I am in Brazil where I have had them extremely fresh. Big difference!
Bananas. Mybe it's because I ate waaaay too many of them in Mexico, and because when I was living with my grandparents they were only fruit available based on the fact that my grandmother thinks they are the wonder food of all wonder foods, but omg, grossest things ever. I still eat them since for some reason I end out really wanting bananas at times but they taste horrible to me, and for some unnatural and boenginered. Yeah, I know I'm weird but oh well. We all have our quirks :)
Tomatoes... lol.... I try to love them... I can tolerate them if I don't breathe. I hate the slimy seeds. If I'm blending it in a soup or eating them sun-dried then I'm good.
That sounds like fun.. There is a thing called double dutch where two girls hold two ropes and you have to jump them both at the same time.. maybe you could find a couple of girls to try this with you. It's pretty impressive when you see it..
