Give it to me Raw

OK so I screwed up.
I got a friggin colonic.
And then, I drank a bunch of wine and ate way too much chocolate because I was depressed.
Last night I truly almost died. My boyfriend doesnt believe me cuz he thinks Im a hypochondriac. He wasnt there,
My throat was swollen, my heart rate was through the roof, muscle/facial spasms I felt nauseous, could hardly catch my breath.
I felt this way all morning until I drank coconut water. then I had a sweet potato. For dinner I had scallopps with marinara, and a raw salad. Then I ate a bunch of almonds, and some eggs (Phosphorus) . Now Im drinking pedialyte and smart water, but my throat is still a littl swollen and some minor muscle twitches.
WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?!!!! Im hoping this stops. I am SOOOOO DOOONE with raw food diets. done with fasting, done with effing all of this crap. WAY DONE with nutritionsits telling me my cravings arent real. BULL!!! I Woke up dehydrated craving eggs and steak because I finally figured out I needed the phophorus cuz my eleyctrolytes were out of balance from the frigging colonic/drinking.cacao fest I had. I love raw foods, but dammit when I want a steak im going to go get one. If I get fat fine. At least ill be alive.

The "wine and chocolate" fast after a colonics. Jesus, Nicole! I haven't heard that one before!! Have you been reading too much David Wolfe lately? :-)

Here are my suggestions:

1) Do what you want, when you want to do it

2) Dump your boyfriend. He sounds like a moron (and an unsupportive one at that)

3) Dump your nutritionist too (all of them). They are nothing but tools

4) Ask yourself the following questions:

How do I define "health"?

How do I get to this state of "health"?

Do I need to focus on spiritual/physical matters moreso than nutritional ones?

Once you answer these questions (and answer them honestly), I think you'll be OK. It sounds like you're OK right now, even, except for the whole "wine and chocolate" after a colonics thing. hahaha.

I think the problem was in your first statement "I drank a bunch of wine and ate way too much chocolate because I was depressed." the issues you are dealing with seems to be depression, not raw foods or colonics. I have seen so many people dealing with mental problems try to take on a whole new lifestyle at the same time "Raw Foods in this case" and it will, in fact, FAIL every time. The sad thing then is that people will always find more comfort in blaming the raw foods, opposed to looking at the real problem, which in 99.9% of the cases is themselves. Don't overlook the common denominator in this case. Eat what you want, deal with your depression, then when you are stronger and smiling, take on a something new and challenging in your life such as a healthy lifestyle. I will assure you it will go much smoother.

We need to achieve whatever we have aspired in life without regard to social conditioning or people around us.. By conditioning ourselves, we only limit our potential to excel at what we can do in life. In the process, we allow ourselves to be controlled by others who take undue advantage of our situation. Even the so-called partners of life have thoughts and actions at different frequencies than ours; and we should not allow them to rule ourselves. Life is so short and fragile; and if we do not do what we always want to, we will ruin our lives and then others would not take blame on themselves.I really feel for you, Nicole. We should be a master of our judgements and our actions.

The best thing for depression is talking with your girlfriends. I don't know what I would do without my girls...talking about our men, jobs, dreams, pasts, you name it. Making connections with those who love you, and know you, and have had similar experiences. You seem to be living far away from them, but take a trip together and live it up, so that you can ventilate and come a little bit closer to what you want and need.

People that give up dancing are much more likely to get depressed. That is from a statistic I just made up. It doesn't matter if it's in your birthday suit or fully clothed. Sounds like the most fun exercise there is. I do know that an hour of vigorous physical activity will do more to alleviate depression than anything Pfizer or Farmer John has ever come up with. There are plenty of guys that allow dancing and aren't possesive. I grew up in Woodland Hills. I would be happy to hook you up.
