Excellent list Alina. I've read and agree. The Dalai Lama gave a talk where I previously resided last Fall here in the Mid-west...fascinating. I've not read Ruby Nelson's book. What is the basic premise?
Ruby Nelson's book is a nice addition to Conversations with God series and A Course in Miracles. Written from a Christian perspective this small book talks about love, gratitude, and spiritualization of our body and our life. The text is written as if God is talking to you, teaching you how to connect with Her. I'm not a Christian myself, but once I moved past the Bible terminology I enjoyed this book and found many profound nuggets that expanded my consciousness.
Oh..yes, okay...I've read the CWG series and Course in Miracles so should follow the theme. I've found the paths that exist all interconnect so Truth is Truth whether we perceive it under one foundation or doctrine or another...our perceptions grow as we evolve humanistically and spiritually. It's when they become caged under regimented belief that we fail to expand I think......You sound like a very deep individual.
I appreciate your insights!
Wow! What an interesting list! Here are a few from mine:
How to Know God by Deepak Chopra Science and the Akashic Field by Ervin Laszlo (zero-point physics) Reincarnation: The Phoenix Fire Mystery by Sylvia Cranston The Fall by Steve Taylor (lots of anthropology stuff... but the author talks about the ego a lot and it reminded me of Eckhart Tolle's work, but from a less spiritual perspective)
Those aren't necessarily books that are supposed to open your consciousness, but I found that they really resonated with me at the time I read them. It's interesting that, as I looked through my library for titles, I seem to have moved past some of the books. Well, "moved past" probably isn't the best term. I've read lots of other "spiritual" books (some of the Seth books, CWG books, The Celestine Prophecy), but they aren't really resonating with me at the moment. I think we often find books when we need them... and when we've learned what we needed to learn from something, we take the lessons and wisdom and move on.
Oooh I totally forgot to mention the Seth books! I love them like crazy and I was living pretty close to the Roberts when I read them for the first time.

hi i have gained a lot from reading bhagavad gita as it is, the book ghandi read every day, and other books by the same author, i like the devotional and personal aspect of spirituality and the idea that everything is simultaneously one and at the same time different and how that idea is visible all around us it makes a lot of sense to me !
I love everyones selections. My next will have to be Anastasia-it has been calling to me, and multiple people have recommended it. I never seek a specific book....only the next evolution in consciousness and the right lesson / book finds me. The universe always delivers if that is your inspiration or intention.
In a London book store about 7 years ago I went in with the intention to find a book that would help me to remember. I ended up leaving with Theory of Everything by Ken Wilber and it was the perfect book for that particular time (imagine- this huge bookstore and me leaving with this particular tiny little book). David Icke when I was about 11 or 12 was a huge eye opener as well.
My list for someone just getting into things (in this order): Power of Now (ET), The Law of Attraction (Abraham-Hicks), Zero Limits (Joe Vitale), www.zeitgeistmovie.com, and David Wolfe on youtube.
Indian and Chinese philosophy enchant me at early age.... feeling what I eat and I put in my brain is consistence by now..but so far the most joy of learning has not come by reading a book or seen a video but enjoying an playing with nature and my inner perception of the whole... guess what? ....it give you just the whole ...free as air...take it by little pieces by little fractions and organize them into harmonic and vibrating balanced structures..are full of light and full of life ..like that smile ...If I keep searching is because I keep finding :) and the best shining smiles are the most wise of the advices are have ever get..."keep it fun"..after all...everything is so easy...
Alexandra, just viewed this movie, pretty eye-opening..and expected..As we evolve diet wise on the planet, we will inevitably have our eyes opened to the spirit.
Course in Miracles, Vernon Howard's collection, Albert & Eugene Hicks, Deepak Chopra's "The Book of Secrets", The Power of the Mind Series, Ernest Holmes' collection, The Divine Matrix, Spiritual Awakenings: Insights into Near Death Experiences, The Day I Died (NDE), Henry Noewen, Dark Night of the Soul, The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence, Daily Readings by Brother Lawrence, Unlocking Your Intuitive Power, Endless Light, the Ancient Path:on the Kabbalah, God Calling, Embraced by the Light.......too many to list but a lot metaphysical.
yeah barron...........I've had enough lizard shapeshifters doing tv clintons, bushes, gores, guilianies, kings, pitts, cruises and like to last me a life time.......thank goodness I no longer follow their deceptions in a form of a dud tv show ( I heard ...
