Come see David Wolfe in Seattle on February 16th and attend our Raw Network of Washington fundraiser. It's only $100 for a four course meal and to hear DW speak. The money helps Raw NOW grow and provide resources to folks in Washington who want to know more about being raw.
I'll be there!

OOoooooo. Dressing up sounds like so much fun right now. I am more and more keen to make the trip down. I say long dress if you're going for sophisticated/elegant or short dress if you're leaning toward raw party girl!!!
It's just a nice event and there will be plenty of people in all kinds of dress. I say go for your own definition of "fancy"
It's in a nice place, hence the black tie, but it's not going to be stuffy.
Greetings everyone! On Valentine’s Day, I flew to Seattle and I think I left my heart there : ) Just returned to Florida today from the most fantastic weekend where David Wolfe was the featured keynote speaker for two major events with the Raw Network of Washington. I’ve traveled all over North America for screenings of SUPERCHARGE ME! and I believe Raw NOW is the most active and organized raw food group in the world. Monika Kinsman is the amazing director of this group.
Friday night, my host Andrea and I joined Wolfe and his fabulous crew (Super Goji Girl, Shekhinah Sabrina and Shawn) at Dalene’s, a new gourmet raw food restaurant in Seattle. The company and the food were divine!
Saturday night was a black tie fundraiser with a gourmet raw dinner that took place at the top of the tallest building in Seattle, the Columbia Tower Club. We were up on the 76th floor, looking way down at the Space Needle. During the cocktail hour, everyone enjoyed young coconut water shooters. There was live entertainment, a live auction and a silent auction, featuring the most wonderful things; from raw retreats to gourmet raw chef training to Golden Bean Raw Chocolate Bars (I won those!) and reference books. I had a film crew there & we got great footage of the event, including David’s talk. We’ll be editing it into several segments that I’ll make available as podcasts on my Website: (http:www.SuperchargeMe.com) Each week, we produce a new video podcast & make it available for free viewing on the site. We’re up to 20 videos now and they’re all archived. So, check ‘em out!
Yesterday (Sunday), Wolfe presented a second lecture to a packed auditorium at Bastyr University, just outside of Seattle. Bastyr is one of the world’s leading academic centers for advancing knowledge in the natural health sciences. Afterward, we had the most wonderful after-party potluck at the home of Andrea, Monika and Michale, where we enjoyed incredible foods, live music and, for dessert, a raw layered chocolate amaretto torte. Mia (of Dalene's) generously shared the torte, which she had won for for $275 in the live auction. Believe me when I tell you it was worth every bite. It was so dense and rich that there was easily enough for the 50 or so people there. Jeff Rogers, who wrote the delicious book, Vice Cream, made the outrageous cake. Jeff said he’ll publish the recipe for the cake in his next dessert book, due out in 2009.
The Raw Network of Washington is a not-for-profit with an active Board of Directors. It’s a great example of the kind of supportive community that can be created around the best lifestyle ever. I’m so impressed with the organization that I have traveled all the way across the country, from Florida, twice to participate in their events. GiveItToMeRaw.com is another great example of community.
Want more support for your lifestyle? Then go out and create, or actively participate in, a conscious community. We create our own reality in this world. Let's make it amazing!
Soaking might help, I really don't know for sure. My father eats soaked dried chestnuts. The dried ones are really hard and they get a little bit softer when soaking them, but they are'nt as sweet soaked.
recently i have come to believe i may (not fully sure) have candida. mainly for the following reasons: after any cooked meal that is high in startches like say risotto the next day my head is so fuzzy and i think it may be even hungover or drunk. ...
This is what my mom recommends too. The thing is I live in a high-rise building in NYC, so I'm definetely not "grounded".
The grounding bed technology makes sense, but it doesn't feel natural to me. Has anyone tried it? Did you notice any changes...

I LOVE this post. you have nailed on the head so many things that I think, about religion, food, dogma, etc.
It's true that so many legalistic people do not realize that what they're doing may come off badly to others; just trying to find what is...
