Come see David Wolfe in Seattle on February 16th and attend our Raw Network of Washington fundraiser. It's only $100 for a four course meal and to hear DW speak. The money helps Raw NOW grow and provide resources to folks in Washington who want to know more about being raw.
I'll be there!

Hi Rawbecca. Do you have more details on the where and when of this event? I'm considering making a weekend of it and heading down from Vancouver. Can you point me in the right direction?
Jenn,
You can go to rawwashington.org for all the info and you can buy tickets to the gala event at brown paper tickets. Click here to go right there. Definitely come and say hi to me too! I'm the co-president of the board so you'll see me speak...:)

Thanks Rawbecca. Also curious, do you have any suggestions for reasonably priced accommodation in Seattle close to the venue(s). I've only been to Seattle once and could use a few hints to get started.
Inn at Queen Anne (orbitz says $89/night) seems reasonably priced, is near a health food store and an upscale grocery store with organic produce. You can take buses to downtown (where the event is), and it's in a nice neighborhood.
Best Western Loyal Inn is closer to event (but not walking distance in this weather), seems reasonably priced (orbitz says $79/night), and looks nice. VERY close to Whole Foods, downtown shopping.
Holiday Inn Express ($84/night) is nice, has pool, close to Whole Foods and SR-99.
Hampton Inn Suites, while more expensive, has kitchenettes so if you wanted to prepare your own food, you could. Very close to upscale grocery store, close-ish to the David Wolfe event.
I like staying downtown, as there is more to do during the day. Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park, Elliot Bay Bookstore, etc.
The two places I can recommend to eat raw are Tilth, in Wallingford and Chaco Canyon. Tilth is upscale, but when I made reservations and told them I was raw, they made a great effort to accommodate without giving me the same old salad. Chaco Canyon is more about raw/vegan comfort food, and it's nice if you don't want to make your food.
I did not know there was a washington group, but I put the Pacific NW group so that when people travel we could have good info when we vist other areas. Thanks I will look for you.
I think you're really be happy you came. I went last year and since then have been so inspired by the raw movement that I joined the Raw Network of Washington Board, read a million books, started a blog, decided to be 100% raw, and really made an effort to heal my body. But if you're on this site, then you're probably way ahead of me! :) Hope to see you there. Allow for ALL possibilities!

Watch all three nights online. Some great info was given, but seemed like it was all about getting people to buy more and more products. All I know is that they made a TON of money.
I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.
Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
hi honey,
we did an experiment in school with ear candles. we set up one with a real person, followed directions perfectly...set up another the same way but instead of putting it in someones ear we just held it against a pillow...both candles had...
