I agree that more is not always better, but most "normal" people are usually too afraid of overdosing on real nutrition, and while this concern can sometimes be justified it usually doesn't apply to most superfoods.
Alot of people are so afraid of taking "too much" that they don't really reach the therapeutic dose that could have helped them.

Me neither.. I think he's got way more interesting substances in his more personal bag, like various kinds of ormus and alchemical elixirs. But it's true we can't eat ourself to enlightenment, even with high doses of ormus. But we can strengthen our nervous system in order to prepare for stronger currents of cosmis energy. It's imposslbe to survive a full kundalini awakening without a strong, healthy and balanced nervous system. In this age of Kali Yuga we get most of our prana from food, and because of that it's very important that the food is of the highest purity and quality possible, as it directly affects our mental clarity and ability to stay focused during meditation and other spiritual practice.

Powders are irritants. If they survive digestion and are taken up into general circulation they can block or damage fine arteries.

why cut him down? do you cut down chinese herbalist (over 2000 year old medicine practice) and ayurveda science (6000 years old), do you also think the aztecs and mayans were stupid too?

all these 'drugs' that you call them are herbs/plants that have been studied and used for thousands of years in different parts of the world to heal people of disease and give people incredible strength because they hold incredibly high levels of antioxidants and minerals, ect. way higher than any food from a grocery store. david is just bringing the best/most powerfull ones to the west.

just because david wolfe has a ton of excitement about these natural food/medicines doesn't make him a freak. i think there are amazing things to learn from other cultures that truly do hold magical super healthy powerful foods. it is exciting to learn what food can do to you....isn't that the reason why we're all trying to be raw? to experience how different life is when you eat differently? remember that raw high you get?

if you want to stop your learning with just raw food from your garden than there is nothing wrong with that. but why slam him or other people who want to experiment further and add other types of foods that have been renowned for thousands of years?

all you have to do is look at the nutritional score of anyone of these super foods and you'll understand. if you try one super food and it doesn't agree with you, well they are not all the same. you could try more, or not. live and let live.

the plant world is never ending. so if you're truly excited about unlocking the secrets of the plant world, of course you're going to find new amazing things all the time. this isn't being an extremist. what to be excited and living life as you want is being extreme?

If hes going to promote "food" to people as raw when its obviously not, thats misleading people. I feel cheated, I didnt know any better, and got addicted to cacoa. I feel its my right on a site like this to promote the truth, not some product for profit.
Im not judging him, I treat him the same as I would anyone!
The only thing im jealous of is your hat..

Critique is a necessary part of development. But I don't think it needs to be personal though, there are more diplomatic ways of expressing discontent.

Druggery is stupid, irrespective of whether it is modern or ancient.

The idea that when one is sick one requires either modern patent pharamceutical toxins, or various cultural herbal toxins has no merit. Certainly such toxins will alter our biochemistry, but it is a huge leap of faith to conclude that the resulting effects are biologically beneficial.

Plants produce chemicals useful for their survivial, some of which we need to live and are called nutrients. Nutrients in foods do not cause side effects because they don't poision us. Plants also produce many non-nutrient compounds that are toxic, which we don't require.

Note that these conclusions are parsimonious with both evolutionary theory and the biochemical lesion theory.

Most non-human animals seem to spend their lives in excellent health and with no knowledge of medicine. This is because they eat the correct diet for their species and so their biochemistry works.

Occassionally toxic preparations can be useful to remove parasites, but that is about it.

..............Hi Jen :) I do agree with most of what you said actually but at the same time I don't think anyone here thinks DW is stupid, well I certainly don't. I like him a lot for many reasons and then there are other things he does which make me sometimes cringe a bit that's all.
I'm not intending to throw the baby out with the you know what, but you know there is always a place for being critical....is critical the right word?.....Because I don't mean to heavily criticize him, it's more of a lighthearted, kinda amused feeling I had when I watched this and some other recent videos of him.

I think he's contributing hugely to the living foods movement and I respect him for that, but I don't agree with everything he sais. More is not always better, patronizing people for eating simple fruit and vegetables as opposed to expensive super-foods is a no go in my book (just re-watch the scene where he is holding Cristal manna in his palm comparing it to celery), raw chocolate might be fine but consumed in large amounts can have negative effects for some people....etc...

He's great in many ways and then again annoys people for some of the things he does, I think everyone should have the right to voice this, no?
There shall be no gurus in this movements simply intelligent and wise human teachers.
Pedestals are never a great thing.....never stop healthy questioning!! But try and keep a sense of humor too of course.......Well that's my humble opinion anyway...........;)
