No It doesn't hurt at all. At first if feels a bit weird but after that everything is ok. The only feeling you get is that you have to use the bathroom but it goes in the tube.

You got it... its a colonic. I just started a series of these about a month ago and I've done 3. Had one Friday. Its pretty weird and I'm still not used to having a thing shoved in my ass but I'm doing it : ) I have been reassured though that I'm not gay or ever gonna be. Its not that bad and is very beneficial and feels pretty cool once you relax and feel the water being pumped through your colon and then you get to see whats in there once it starts to leave.

I wish I would've done one of these when I was a meateater. I started after I was slim and trim and a raw food eater so nothing spectacular comes out -

Go for it, the "penis" is pretty small and they use lube : )

what is that? I'm new to the anal game : )

Colonics are comfortable and more beneficial if you use a little bit of lube for the tube and massage during the whole time. Don't forget to take some probiotics, preferably in food, afterwards. I eat my home-made organic sauerkraut and/or a bit of organic miso.

I use the BIB kit, less expensive and more features than the Colema, in my opinion. Essential to use a bit of lube like just plain ol' KY Jelly or a cheaper generic substitute. Look, we routinely expel solids much larger than the tube, which is the size of a wooden pencil, but curved and slightly flexible. You should barely feel it. Just relax.

The MOST important thing to remember is MASSAGE! Whether it's a self-administered or commercially administered colonic, you must CONSTANTLY MASSAGE. One direction -- up your left side, left to right across the transverse colon, then downward when liquid coming in. The other direction when liquid, air, gas, solids coming out.

Two reasons: you will get far better results and it is much more comfortable. You can work through any pressure, be it from air/gas that we have within us and help the fluid flow.

People usually suggest massaging using a tennis ball. If you are using your hands and a ball, you might want to use massage oil. I combined Castor oil with Olive oil to thin it down, with a bit of aromatic oil, and that was great. But I have a large belly, so I had to really push down, whereas you slender folks might not need as much pressure as I use.

Then I found a great Palm Massager at my local Rite-Aid for under $30. It has a nice big knob for massaging, with variable speeds (but I taped it to the fastest/more powerful). I can use either hand, while my hand is very relaxed while controlling movement.

This is important because I spend about 1.5 hours doing it. Yes, it's longer than commercial units which use pressure to input fluids, which means you are in and out within an hour or less. But I simply can't afford to pay someone to do this. Plus time spent getting there and back might be equal to time doing it myself.

I use a 5 gallon container, which means at least 4 gallons goes through me. I spend about 15 minutes massaging each time my colon is filled, which is about 5 or 6 times. Sometimes I can hold more liquid, sometimes less. The amount doesn't matter. What matters is massaging, relaxing and focusing on the healthy aspect.

I always play music, turn off my phone and burn some incense before I start. You might want to rub some aromatic body oils on your wrists.

The healthier we are, the more pleasant, doesn't smell bad, inexpensive, and best of all, the results. Sometimes I get up and start singing and dancing, other times I'm not so upbeat. I don't eat before, and sometimes do yoga to help get things moving, so it's more about hunger than anything! I don't feel hungry, but my system eager for food after yoga and a colonic. LOL!

Finally, I've read that it could take 6 months of daily colonics to really see dramatic results. And sometimes we don't have daily bowel movements when doing them. I would think it's terrific when one has a cold or the flu, to get the system clean. IF you have the energy to do it or have it done!

I'm about to do a one week cleansing fast and have to do colonics twice a day. It's a great way to prep for changing seasons and stay healthy. Remember, there's a reason this is the cold season. Going from summer to fall/winter is difficult for our bodies, and that's why we are more susceptible to whatever is going around. We're indoors more often, our local fresh seasonal food is less varied, yadda yadda.

I just read that most of our immune system comes from our digestive system! So a clean colon and better digestion means better immunity. It's so true that disease begins in the colon.

We need fall cleaning more than spring cleaning! Have fun with it!

Some raw foodies advocate daily enemas, like Ann Wigmore and people like Brenda Cobb, who promote Ann's original theories. (Ann Wigmore being

I just got my second one yesterday. The first colonic was done with a libby (an open system that causes you to excrete into a toilet that's built into the bench) and this last colonic used a closed system (a system with a tube that the excrement travels into). The first time was much more uncomfortable than the second because it used high temperature water and no massages were administered. The second was much nicer and that's what I recommend. On a pain scale of 1 - 10, the first colonic with the libby was a 4 and the second colonic with the closed system was a 2.
