I´m wondering whether we have a nice mix here or are there more tummy-conscious Virgos, and new-age Aquarians and psychic fish... or maybe food-loving bulls and crabs ?
I wish we could make a poll...
BTW I´m a Virgo
with an Taurus ascendant
and Virgo moon
And here is a link to my beloved astrology book online: Linda Goodman´s Sun Signs.
This book made me believe in astrology.
i read Gooberz and I love it!!! can anyone tell me whats there in "Venus Trines at Midnight"? its also a collection of her poems but havent got hold of it as yet!
yes, lets start an astro group all right!!! please somebody do!!!
I have venus, jupiter and mercury in Aquarius so there's a huge influence of Aquarius. I have mostly air and fire in my chart and no earth whatsoever!
I studied astrology and got a diploma, it was great to learn so much beyond the sun sign horoscopes in the paper. I don't use it these days much though, I found a few people in my life were using the difficult aspects in their transit charts to stop them from being happy, and figured it was mirroring an aspect of myself. So I decided to go without astrology for a while and be happy regardless of what was going on in my chart as an experiment (v. aquarius). The whole point of astrology isn't to be trapped by our charts but to move beyond the restrictions anyway ;) Having said that, I have a huge amount of respect for astrology, and I loved doing charts when I was doing them.
I have a totally different experience. I don't look at the squares/oppositions in my chart as restrictions but areas where I need to pay xtra attn and work harder. Yes, conflicting aspects in a transit chart can seem scary but it's just a piece of truth you have access to. How you deal with the info is up to you. It's like knowing a major storm is brewing, and either choosing to feel trapped & depressed or zestfully preparing for the choppy waters.
I have often avoided the nicks & bumps of life paying attention to the celestial weather. Life can be challenging enough so it is quite comforting & heartening to have a celestial guide. :)
omshanti, if you ever feel like gettin back into the astro swing of things in a positive & uplifting way, let's chat! :))
yes i agree! i studied astrology on my own for some years with the help of a couple of adepts here in India. we mainly focused on Vedic charts. it is great fun to go beyond the Sun Sign aspects. really interesting and makes so much more sense!
Linda Goodman says that the less you know (and believe) in astrology, the more you are like the description in your sign ! And once you learn about yourself with the help of astrology, that lets you know where you stand and how you can move on from there.
Okay, mishap was a bit generous. I decided to dye it, so I bought some indigo (plant dye) and started sectioning off the front bits of my head and putting the dye in, and then as I tried to get further back and farther down, I ran out. So now the ...
when I say he eats like a horse, its probably not as much as alot of kids, but he does have a healthy appetite. He is just really skinny as he never sits still. There isn't anywhere here from him to fast so i will just have to simplify his diet fu...
Nah, I had a mishap with some indigo I bought to dye my hair darker. It's washing out though, no biggie. Probably why I shouldn't mess around with hair dye, no matter how natural it is.
It's nostalgia and a bit of idolatry, I spent a lot of time in that general area of the world and most of the family I'm in contact with are from that general area so if there is any disconnect with humour and culture I feel it in media :)
But he...
Ya I see what you're saying. I think spirituality and raw food, in my opinion have different levels. I think some people put too much emphasis on it being itself a spiritual practice, so I'm arguing the point that down plays it, not to obsess abou...
