I count this as two separate questions...favorite meal? Probably a fresh fruit or vegetable, eaten alone. mmm. :)
What do I like to prepare? Cilantro smoothies are good right now. Anything all-green smoothie-wise, or seed milks. I like simplicity. The most complicated things I ever made were veggie burgers, with myllk shakes, and then I have made tacos(kale or romaine tortillas though, not the dehydrated ones, I never have purple corn or yellow corn or raw grain at all, can't find it). I don't know how to make this lifestyle complicated. I don't have weird ingredients to play with, and I'm kind of glad, as it's better for my digestion to not mix too much. :)
Although, I'm kind of thinking of inventing a "Living Thanksgiving" meal. That would be great :)
I had mushroom burgers last night which was pretty good and a lovely chocolate/maca porridge this morning followed by chocolate covered shortbread. mmm.
Well, I am in the midst of preparing for a raw dinner party. We have 3 non-raw, non-vegan couples coming over to see what this raw thing is all of this is about. Here's my menu:
Appis on the Coffee Table:
Zucchini chips
Jicama chips
Veggies & Hummus
Assorted Olives
First course:
Curried Cabbage pillows
Coconut dumplings
(with sauces)
Second course:
Sushi
Third Course:
Mushroom Quiche, Marinated Portobello topped with salad, and
linguini garnished with pesto stuffed mushrooms.
Dessert:
Strawberry creme tart
The prep is going well but I think the jicama chips are not happening...no more room in the dehydrator. Some of the recipes are on my blog (along with all of my other favorites), I will post the rest after the weekend.
YUM! That looks sooooo good, I love sushi so much but haven't had it years, since I don't get the conventional stuff anymore ( I call them mercury rolls) and I'm too lazy to make something like this.....will you come over and make it for me, pleee...
There is a great fruit wholesaler in town, specializing in Local, organic fruit actually.
All I need is a few people, a car and one willing person to go up there with me at some unholy hour (they close at 9am) once a week and it's beautiful fruit ...
Hey, Great pic! Looks refreshing. Also I love the pics of your sprouted coconuts, they look sooo delicious! I watched the video with you eating a sprouted coconut and boy do I want to try it too!..
