See, I've been raw since Saturday and last night i had the worst cramps--crying, you know--the works. And I was up until 2:30-3:00 am trying to avoid Ibuprofen, but decided I didn't want to be in pain anymore and gave into 800 mg of the stuff. I want to know of a natural way to help with my cramps because they're getting pretty bad. I don't want any drugs or medications in my system. Has anyone tried anything that works?
Hey, well I'm not a MAN. But I'm a woMAN. Besides, I doubt you (David) have been escorted out of school on a wheel chair for having cramps so bad you almost faint. Hey, life is hard being female...what can I say.. =)

In my experience this should go away anyway with eating raw. My cramps completely stopped with eating raw. Only at the beginning it might be worse because of an even stronger detox. But the next months it should get less and less...
While I was cooked, what always helps me was a hot bath....

Since I'm raw I also felt that menstruation is so much about cleaning the intestines as well. So it helps to not eat too heavy foods before and during it. And nothing that you know is not perfect for your intestines...
And before I forget..maybe start bellydancing...
I know what you're talking about Alicia, wasn't a wheelchair in my case, but I constantly had to leave school because of that.
Now, Belly dancing I've always wanted to do. No, they don't last three hours, just enough to sooth me. Then, it's like my body is so focused on cooling down that it forgets about the cramps, but for a very short period of time. Ha, I'm hoping my cramps will calm down. They used to be worse when I drank coke...
I'll definitely keep what you said in mind, Didi. I appreciate your responses.

Take something to clean your liver before (milk thistle comes to mind, but there are others). That can prevent them. Sometimes cramps are caused by hormones not passing through the liver properly. Also Red Raspberry leaf tea everyday. They have capsules, but they aren't as effective due to the small amount of herb in them.
Your cramps should slowly go away the longer you are raw/living. Wether they are from a lack of magnesium (or other nutrient), or from toxins, it will be healed in time.
For me chamomile tea and smelling essential oils like chamomile, basil and rubbing cool aloe gel on cramp areas work. but since going raw my menstrual cramps are really gone. though once in a while they do come in some degrees.still i hope this works.
i have had the worst cramps all my life(since starting to menstruate). i would have to be in bed for over 12 hours and no amount of pain killer would help.they were terrible! then i started taking some Indian herbal connoctions to ease the pain. they were far better though nothing helped more than staying raw. few months after raw and i bleed so much less there is barely any feelings and kinda, no cramps. i wish you good luck!
I just watched the first season of Bored To Death with Jason Schwartzman. It's fantastic. It's about a writer who gets a side job as an unlicensed private detective by putting an ad on Craiglist. Best TV show this year.

Think more systematically. Instead of thinking of it meaning a problem like 'weak liver' it may mean, time to fast. Think of it as more like youre body is undergoing a load of eliminating stuff all at once. (and in this case perhaps, too fast(this...
Awesome U - Around 700 folk, at the beautiful Hilton Hotel ballroom, quite nice indeed. Like a big serious party, very light-hearted but very serious, i'd say mostly serious, especially the people presenting other than David. David carries on, his...
Thanks Loren. Makes sense to me. My problem is that when I blend (which means more volume of fruits) then i am more regular with my bowels. What I can eat & chew doesn't always trigger peristalsis in the same way. I had chemo a few years back and ...
You could try clay compresses - they work deep - because of the earth factor.
Send me a message with your email and i will send you an e-book on hydrotherapy.
Hydrotherapy does not cure - but it's the variation in temperature which gets a reacti...
