So after a year of hearing me talk non-stop about raw food this, raw food that, raw food will change your life! ;D, etc etc... a friend has finally decided to give it a go!
She's getting into it mainly for weight loss, and has about 30 lbs to lose to reach a healthy weight. I felt uncomfortable giving her weight loss "advice", because I can really only relate information about what has worked for me/my body... I did tell her that she would probably lose about 5 lbs initially, just from detoxing all that meat, bread, milk gunk out of her system.
She's pretty eager though, and wants more "tips". Sooo, I told her that greens and green juices= her new best friends, sea veggies help with detox and weight releasing, and apparently so does raw ACV. I also recommended small amounts of coconut oil, which tends to work for me.
Does anyone have any more tips/"tricks"/advice, or any specific knowledge of how to maximize weight loss without compromising nutrient intake?
I'm very eager to give her good advice, but at the same time, I'm wary about pointing her in one specific direction that may not work for her personally...
