One of the goals of this year's raw spirit festival is to be as eco as possible.
The best way to help the conference in reaching that goal is to care share. Whether you're driving in all the way or just from the airport, here's an opportunity to make a friend and save on gas.
Hi Spike! Yes, I'm definitely still looking for a ride on Friday morning if you are cool to rent a car! I like to travel light (probably just a small carry-on suitcase) so no worries! :-) Thank you regardless!
Thank you so much! I actually arrive on Thursday but will be spending the night at a friend's place in town. Just let me know when you arrive and I will meet you at the airport!
That sounds good - I'm going to see if Susan still needs a ride too and we can go from there. Would you be interested all in leaving for Sedona on Thursday evening or are you set with plans already til Friday morning? I have two flights I can choose from-- one that arrives on Friday morning and another that gets in Thursday night. I'm not 100% sure I can get off another half-day of work on Thursday to catch the earlier flight out, but I wanted to put the possibility out there...
I am pretty flexible. I will be spending some time in Phoenix with my friend after the festival anyway so whatever works for you is good. What time will you get in if you take the Thurs night flight?
I only reserve lodging on Fri and Sat night but I'm not too worry about that extra night.
Hi there
I m really hoping to get to sedona thursday night but otherwise im going to leave friday morning...the shuttle only should cost 5 dollars if you mention RSF! And there is one at 9am fridayam...but it would be nice to share a car with folk...(:
Hey Susan-- you're going to be flying in to Phoenix and leaving for Sedona from there, right?
If so, what time will you be arriving in Phoenix?
I'm going to book a flight today and I can either arrive in Phoenix on Thursday evening around 6:45pm or Friday morning around 10am. I can give you a ride if I rent a car either way if you'd like to share a ride...
Where did you see the $5 shuttle? I thought it was $50 one-way too (and something like $95 round trip?)
Hi there
my flight gets in at 7.50 pm ...on thursday...so i just miss the last 8pm shuttle ..damn! I read in the blurb that i printed out from the info from the RSF and it says about the shuttle.. ``a $5 one way discount & a $10 round trip discount for all RSF attendees``! so i reckon this would be cheaper for everyone? what do you reckon? im thinking i need to chill out and rest in a room for the night after the really long journey..and then....take off for sedona friday morning..i hope this makes decisions easier for all folks?? (:
I see, so we save $5 if we let them know it's from RSF, meaning we'll still have to pay $45 one way. I think it would still be cheaper if we share a ride.
Hey Susan-- I still haven't booked anything one way or the other.
In regards to the shuttle, it looks like the RSF discount is for $5 off the normal one-way shuttle price of $50 or $10 off the normal round-trip shuttle price of $90. Here is the shuttle company website with details
My thought in renting the car is that it will only cost around $80 plus fuel to rent a car for Thursday - Monday if I rent along with my plane ticket purchase-- just a little more than the cost of taking the shuttle round-trip for one person, even with the RSF discount.
I was thinking that a ride share with 3 people would save money plus we could probably get there a bit faster than the shuttle :)
Let me know what you think-- do you have somewhere planned to stay Thursday night, either in Phoenix or in Sedona?
I would like to now list the benefits I have experienced since being on a low fat raw vegan lifestyle....
* Easily maintain a healthy weight, gaining weight is DIFFICULT unless I eat salt (which i haven't for 2years)
* Very quick recovery from i...
sub-acids are my favourite - but they bastards don't leave the tops on them and i can't plant them.... i must go to a sub-acid farm and steal some!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Your dog is sooo cute! I have a dog too and two cats, and I looove them! I feed them wheatgrass and they actually choose that before regular grass wich they normally chew on in the garden.
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
