So, I have my resolutions made:
1.) be organized
2.) be healthy
3.) be raw
4.) be fit
I believe that if I can keep up with the first one on the list, the rest will all fall into place.
After finishing up last year (just last night) by filling my cart full of raw goodies from Whole Foods, I came home to find kids in my kitchen eating cheese doodles and potato chips. Good thing I ate my salad on the way home!
I woke this morning, fully intending to get up, exercise for 30 minutes, and have my smoothie without interruption. I even managed to get the family to try a sip or two.
My daughter turns 15 today(Happy Birthday, Willow!) and she wants her usual lasagna birthday dinner. She's not raw, but I work it in when I can. I have the nuts soaking, the eggplant sliced and dried, and vine ripened tomatoes are ready.
I'd love to hear some suggestions from all of you out there on how to organize my kitchen. Some suggestions on:
* what staple foods do you find most necessary as a foundation for everything else?
* what cookbooks do you recommend for the noobie raw foodie?
* what shortcuts do you take to lessen preparation time?
See, I'm so new at this I don't even know what questions I should be asking. Happy new year's resolutions!
