Give it to me Raw

HI! We are moving from California to Dublin Ireland and are looking for a trained nanny / au pair to join our family!

We are a fun loving, out going, respectful, spiritual, honest and passionate family with three little girls - Jana 2, Naia and Ananda (twins) who are 4 months. We are looking for a full time live in / live out position for a nanny or au pair. The job will start in September or October ('08). The Ideal candidate would be active and sporty; love music (perhaps play an instrument), be a vegetarian or vegan or into living foods, love reading and traveling. A passport is a necessity. We also prefer someone with twin experience although ability to handle three small children at the same time is more important. We do travel quite often to warmer climates and back to the U.S. to New York and California. Speaking and reading English is important, but we encourage you to speak your native language (if other then english) to our children as we all love to learn new things! Drivers license is not necessary, but being able to ride a bike is! We would like someone who is interested in being integrated into our family and staying on for some time. We require good refrences, a non - smoker is a must, female prefered, background check will be conducted. We can provide your tickets and a weekly salary in addition to room and board if you are traveling away from home.

There are many benefits to working with our family aside from the obvious. We love to travel, I am a raw vegan chef and you will learn gourmet vegan and raw vegan dishes; you will enjoy free chiropractic care (my husband is an excellent Doc); our home gym complete with yoga / pilates / bowflex revolution / meditation area/ cardio equipment; as well as a few days off to do as you wish every week.

Looking forward to chatting with you!
(Please only serious responses)

Jennifer - why don't you send your info above to the Vegetarian Society of Ireland, that would be a good network to help you find someone. If you email my friend Colm he can disseminate it to all members, shout if you want me to put his contact details in an email (don't want to splash them here) or email vegsoc@ireland.com, www.vegetariansociety.ie.

Two other things: one is I set up an Ireland group on this site, albeit with just 5 members to date.Another - there are two (rare) raw events happening in Ireland in late Sept/early Oct. One is in Wicklow and Dublin, the other that I am involved in organising is in the North West near Sligo. Keep in touch via the group for more info!

Good luck with the move!

Hi Jennifer,

Will you be doing any raw food work in Dublin? Opening up a cafe or restaurant or anything like that, or even a delivery service? There's so little of it in Ireland, and nothing professional as far as I know. We really could do with a raw food eaterie or some sort of service - please!

As well as being a raw food newbie I'm also a journalist and write a green column for an online magazine for women in Northern Ireland called www.sugahfix.com - I'd love to write about anything you're planning. I've written about new raw food restaurant, Saf, in London and its day classes and courses. I'm keen to spread the word and try and get involved in promoting the raw food movement in Ireland, north and south.

That sounds like fun.. There is a thing called double dutch where two girls hold two ropes and you have to jump them both at the same time.. maybe you could find a couple of girls to try this with you. It's pretty impressive when you see it..
