And they were sooo good I practically ate them all standing outside my dehydrator. I didn't know what to expect but they do taste like real potato chips (even better in my opinion). They shriveled down about more than half the size of the original leaf and were incredibly crunchy. I'm not sure if dehydrating the kale has a huge impact on enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Not that I'd completely replace dehydrated kale in my diet but was just wondering how good these really chips are
I have no idea how many of their nutrients they retain, but if they keep you from snacking on potato chips and anything else you might crave when you're having an urge for something crisp, then that's a good thing.
I'm a big believer in that's it far more important what you don't put in your body than what you do. If you're keeping the processed junk out, then you're way ahead of the curve.
Basically massaged kale salad is
A whole head of kale but into bite size pieces, in large bowl. I add either olive oil or macadamia nut oil, lemon juice, sea salt and hemp seeds....THEN i massage the kale for about 5 minutes. Yep, just get your hands right in there and massage away!!! As you massage, the kale sort of wilts down a bit. You can add anything you like to the salad. It is so good. Make sure you are in a happy place when massaging, it will show in the kale!!!
I am a huge fan of the kale chips! I make currently make three different flavors depending on my mood...italian, spicy italian, and roasted cheeze! Massaged kale salad is the best! I make a huge batch and it keeps so well for days. Then I just add whatever toppings to make a quick and easy salad that is different each day. Dulse is a great addition to kale salad, as well as avocado or olives. I always chant while I massage to infuse my salad with positive energy! I just finished a 48 day juice feast last week and will be making my first kale salad today! Sooooo excited!
So, I ate some (too unripe) pineapple and it "ate" some of me. Sore lips, chapped mouth corners, slightly sensitive/swollen tongue. Anyone know of good remedies for these conditions? Was thinking I should avoid stretching and licking my lips, and ...

P.S. I have a hard time sleeping without some nightcap food too. I was addicted to bananas and almond butter before bed, but I'm trying to phase it out by freezing bananas in the morning and then making raw ice cream at night.
Banana peach coconut smoothie for breakfast, then
3 Collard wraps with spicy mango salsa, avocado, onion, cilantro, sprouts, and sauteed portabello mushroom. Amazing.
Now I'm contemplating dinner. Might treat myself to Que Seraw Seraw in Burlinga...
P.S. Yogi, When my body is in an unwanted condition like ill or overwhelmed I also ask it "What do you need to get well or fix that condition?" Watch closely for it's FIRST THOUGHT and don't invalidate it. Then do whatever you please of course-you...
hi stacey,
I was doing Hatha Yoga, that involves asanas, prayanama, bandha and mudras.
Apart from yoga we were taught Anatomy, Psychology, Philosophy etc., so that the students of this course could teach yoga and take it as a profession later.
I had a green juice (Celery, Cilantro, Parsley, Apple, Ginger, Fennel, Chard)
And a massive salad with wild caught sardine.
Coconut leek cilantro and lime soup
Might have a coconut kefir smoothie in a hour or two
