Give it to me Raw

I was grocery shopping the other day and saw these cute little cherry/grape tomatoes that tasted amazing. I glanced over the package and saw that it was "certified pesticide free" so I grabbed a package. When I got home, I looked at the package again and noticed that while it was "certified pesticide free" it didn't say organic. I checked out the company's website and again, they attest they are pesticide free, but nowhere did they say organic.

So gang, my question is this...what do you think are the differences between pesticide free and organic? I have an idea, but just wanted to get some other's opinions. Thanks. :)

Here's the company's website too in case you are interested: www.eurofresh.com

Organic certification costs. Smaller companies' produce may be just as good, if not better, than 'USDA Certified'.

Organic also doesn't mean NO pesticides. It just means "certified ok for organic" pesticides were used (whatever that means. I guess there's a big list of "you can spray this on & still be called organic" pesticides somewhere).

Randomly, you look exactly like my best friend's husband. I'm just saying. :)

Yeah, there are plenty of small farmers who refuse to pay the price for certification. I met a guy last year who calls his food "beyond organic." He thinks the government's definition of organic is a total joke.

I can't attest to Eurofresh, but you may want to contact them directly and find out what the story is.

im confused. matt monarch swears by regular colonic hydrotherapy. its his no.1 raw tip, didn't think it could be dangerous but now it kind of makes sense. enemas seem much more natural in comparison.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.

things that have actually worked for me: Valerian root for tea - very calming... Lemon juice, sliced lemon peel, lemon grass or lemon verbina, raw honey, star anise (optional), maybe some ginger, hot water (let it all infuse together for a while) ...
