Give it to me Raw

listening to chillout music. I can sit in a chiar with Chillout music playing and wow...im just like on could 9 basically...haha. Its an INSANE feeling. I mean im a dj and a huge lover of music, but this genre just makes the blood in your body flow a different way. I go to an island called IBIZA (Spain) on occasion, and its said by most people to be the point in the world with the MOST POSITIVE ENERGY. And I didn't believe then, its where eurotrash people go and get drunk and do drugs, on the most beautiful place on the earth, and I mean that. I've never seen anything like this place. Thailand and Easter Island have nothing on this place. So after leaving the island...I did realize that the energy was incredible there, and Chillout music originated there....maybe not necessarily but most of it is usually matches with Ibiza. So please go download some Chillout music CD's and just relax and listen to the music...trust me...its a journey.....

Enjoy my musique d'ambiance!

I AGREE!!! I LOVE CHILLOUT!! (yes I am yelling. with excitement!)

It's truly lovely. Best with no words (or a language you can't understand). It allows your mind to take a journey and relax.

Thanks for posting!

Much Love!

A Reminiscent Drive! I love that song. I didn't know that tidbit about Ibiza. I guess that's why there are all those Ibiza Grooves compilations.

ok, I'll bite.

Do you have any recommendations.. for bands/dj's, as a starting point to have a listen to some of this stuff?

Thievery Corporation, Cafe Del Mar, Hotel Costes....there's tons.

I just discovered this group from France called Masaladosa, when I first heard them I thought it was a bunch of off-the-boat indians making sick music...then i googled them..and they'er all white french. Great stuff, check em out...not so chillout, but its still the same...

So you recommend Ibiza then for lounge music? What part of the Island?

I know about the reputation it has and am not really into that but av heard that some parts of the Island are really chilled out and stuff.

Any thoughts??

Am trying to get a few mates together and head over :):)

hhm...well all of Ibiza is really Chillout, I don't acutally think there's a certain part. I mean you really have to find your niche. Km5 is a great place, Cafe Del Mar is an obvious, Macao cafe has really great music, Bambuddha Grove, L'Elephant, El Ayoun....these places are all restaurants/lounges. You just have to see what you like really. If you have absolutely any questions about Ibiza, Im like the guru..haha. So just ask. And yea there is a crazy side of Ibiza thats filled with sex, drugs, and all that eurotrash electro music type stuff, but you just need to make sure you don't associate yourself with them...hahaha.

Wow, music..... I could go on about this forever.

My favorite "chill" bands:

1. Air
2. Blue States
3. Slowreader
4. Radiohead (select songs)
5. Death Cab / Postal Service (select)
6. Elliott Smith - I'm not depressed, just in love with his music.

That's just a quick little list.
