Give it to me Raw

What is everyone's position on drinking booze? What kind? how often? I'm curious. I drink occasionally. I used to binge drink 2to3 times a week up until last month.

Haha, that's really funny! I would have loved to be at that party......:D
.......You know the occasional bit of senseless rock n roll behaviour really does ad some fun into it all, it's all about a good balance and knowing how to let go and behave like a big kid every now and again without loosing it all of course hey?

I used to drink a LOT in my twenties, then since I had my kids I kinda stopped because of them and the pregnancies and breastfeeding of course.
But my diet has changed so radically since then that actually the desire for it has almost vanished.
All my lil addictions actually. I used to smoke too and do the occasional other stuff when I was younger.
Somewhere I've read or heard, and I think it was David Wolfe who said it, that the more acid your body is the more prone to addictions for recreational drugs you are and the more neutral or alkaline your blood becomes the less desire for those things......Twice or three times a year (literally) I do have a glass of (strictly organic) wine or a good mojito (or two...) at a party.....mmmmhhhh
I don't get out much obviously....lol

I still drink. Mostly white wine, red wine makes me want to puke. I also do cocktails. I probably drink once or twice a week and I do get drunk.

In my younger days I'd drink vast, vast quantities and spend all day (sometimes 2 days) in bed with a hangover. Not so much these days. Like Chris said I've found my hangovers are much improved since eating more raw food. Strange. I do get drunk a bit quicker mind...

I have been raw for over a year and a half. I drink organic wines. I was able to give that up last fall for 4 months. I never felt better. I was also able to keep closer to 80/10/10rv since I wasn't tipsy and sneaking off to the kitchen to make cashew cheese and crackers. I hope to get to that perfection of 811rv and abstaining from alcohol again in the near future. For now I prefer Frey wine although I can get Our Daily Red for $6.45 a bottle!

I occasionally drink good white wine. In moderation.
