What do you want from your RAW Food Cafe/Restaurant?
I am interested to know what people's perfect vision of a RAW Food outlet.
For example some serve coffee and alcohol some don't.
Do you prefer background music or not?
Would you prefer a self service salad bar?
How important is that cups and plates taken from the premises are bio degradable?
What would make your non RAW friends join you?
I have noticed that most outlets don't have RAW in their name. Does it put off non RAW foodists if RAW is in the name?
Anybody taken a non RAW foodist to a RAW food cafe/restaurant? What was your experience?
Any other observations welcomed.
PS A free RAW Pizza in our new restaurant for the best answer:o) 2nd prize 2 free Pizza's LOL
Bio degradable is important. combos are good - wish some places would include combos for dinner too. also, would love it if the dessert was portioned to the price. hate going to these places where i pay 10 bucks for a pea sized slice of cake. and mmm, i think lots of dishes that are similar to sad dishes i.e. burgers, tuna sandwiches, pizza, etc. would bring in non-raw foodiests. i think putting RAW in your name may seems alienating to people so often they don't even say "vegan" they just say "vegeterian". maybe use the word "living foods" in the title instead...hope these help, they are rather random.
a little off topic but I was out eating recently and someone came in to pick up a TO GO order. They brought there own Tupperware containers and the restaurant put the food in there for them. I wondered why I had never thought of that before.
I'm going to start taking my own containers for my left overs :)
i want a chill space..with comfy couches and beautiful energy..
someplace with a warm welcoming vibe..
i want great tunes, great lighting and a plethora of books..local artists creations adorning the walls..
open mic, painting, and music in the evenings
classes and guest speakers..
living food and an open menu for suggestions and specials.. (how hard is it to make thai noodles)
i want chefs to juice...uncook and prepare dishes with love and blessings..
Agreed on all of that!!
Personally, I'd also like some really simple an inexpensive menu items (like an avacado and mango salad, mmmm). Even though people can make those sort of things at home, they would go buy it from your place just for the environment. A smoothie/juice bar would be great too. I'll come if there is a comfy couch and somebody at the bar could cleanly cut the top off a Thai coconut for me :-D
If you can't do bio-degradable, recyclable will do
I've started this group in order to find and link with people who eat raw food in and around London too. We can share ideas and books, meet up for potlucks and even go out for meals together

Amanda White Once upon a time I was falling in love, now I'm only falling apart.
Being open is the way (tao...) to freedom...
I don't know if you can open up someone with your concepts who is not predestined for it ....
but in these cases it may be possible to open up someone with the best raw food ever..?
I mean: food has ...
