Give it to me Raw

hey guys i need some help/ advice.
I am going on a kayaking backpacking trip next week and will be completely away from civilization for about a week. any tips for raw foods that are easy to carry, light, portable, storable?
I have some green and fruit powder and have dehydrated some fruits on low, but i know that this wont be enough...
so any of you trekers out there, what are you tips for staying raw and wild?

Why can't you eat nuts?

okay so you got goji berries.... cacacao nibs.... what about some raisins? or other dried fruit like dried mango pieces? or small banana chips? other dried berries?

man... nuts are the main part in most trail mix. I dont know what combinations to use??? Good luck!!!!

thanks for the weblink! ive been wondering where to get raw granola from and some of that stuff looks great

man i wish they had "raw stores" where you didn't have to second guess whether or not it was raw!!!

I KNOW, RIGHT!!!?

i want to open up a produce place when I grow up.... and I will! and i will also sell all types of raw brand foods on the side.......... so it WILL be a raw food store!

Sprouts! They're alive, so they won't go bad over the four days, and they've got lots of protein, and they're really filling so a couple handfuls are like a heavy snack/light meal.

I bring lentil sprouts on hiking trips and everyone who has Doritos wants some of what I've got. :-)

I do that some times and as long there is a good source of water around, all the rest is pretty simple...some times eating what I find is enough but you dont want neither to carry unnecessary weight, you can prepare some pretty good granolas or just carry figs, walnuts and pecans and a bunch of apples. Again water is the main food when I travel to an encounter with nature...eating its beauty is really satisfying :-) enjoy .....one more tip....if you hike bare food there is a huge difference in the amount of energy that you will use, so if you haven't adapt your feet to walk like that, next time prepare in advance and try it out...
less energy use...less energy consume, feel lighter and enjoy deeply
