Hi, everyone. So, I'm getting sick of using salsa for salad dressing. Last night I went to a restaurant that had a delicious peanut sauce that I used on my salad. It tasted like some chili powder was giving it some spice. Does anyone have a raw recipe?
Thanks,
1/3 cup raw almond butter (or peanut butter, if you can get the raw stuff. or just plain old natural peanut butter if you're not too picky)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons nama shoyu
1 tablespoons lime juice
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
Mix all ingredients together well. Makes about 1 cup.
Sunfood.com , David Wolfe's website for raw goodies has Raw Jungle Peanut butter there or you could get the Raw Jungle peanuts and make your own peanut butter.....that would be the base of your recipe
and as far as any ingredients go... Miso is a good replacement for nama shoyu...miso in its raw state.
you can follow just about any recipe otherwise such as Kathryn's. Play around with the ingredients and go by taste and texture...ginger works well with the ingredients also. Raw Almond Butter is most excellent for this as well. Good Luck and Bon Apetite!!!
Thanks, everyone. I'm not terribly happy with this first attempt but I'll keep trying. I'd post some photos, but my results would look like I gave up the whole peanut sauce idea and decided to use mayonnaise and ketchup instead.
I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...
Loren,
Was your fast that regained your health a supervised one, and with whom? How long was your fast? What did you eat like before that?
Do you mind me asking what health challenges you were experiencing?
Who did you intern under yourself? I ...

don't agree with the whole raw food creating a damp environment thing because of the wildly different effects of different raw foods. i've found candida to respond to 100% raw, several different approaches.
