Hi there all would really love any imput/advice if anyone knows how to reverse osteoporosis eating raw? As I have just got my bone scan test back and I am still in the osteo box. The doc wants me to go on meds but I am so dead against doing so, as read so many side effects etc. I am so gutted I'm little confused as to what to do.
So I would be very greatful for any help, I am only 30 by the way, it was brought about through 10 years of eating disorders.
It is not calcium deficiency or estrogen deficiency.
Eat lots of greens and vegetables and their juices for minerals magnesium and calcium, as well as hemp seed milk for amino acids, also organic silicon and boron can help with bones.. Vitamin D please try and make it either an active plant based vitamin D3,not the synthetic vitamin D2, that is not the right kind, and the only cod l iver oil I reccomend is blue ice, if that is your choice as it is the only cold prssed one, all cod liver oils are distilled the natural virtamins A and D usually destroyed and so they add synthetic vitamin A and D added to them after
Too much protein can leach calcium from the bones as can too little, so make sure you get enough for you.
Cheers all for your help, I am light weight Durianrider 6st 11 & 5ft 4, I can't bare too much weight, etc as I have hip dysplasia, ( hips dislocate easy) as ball & socket do not fit too well.
I eat little & offen
The reason for my sluggish system sweetie, is 10 years of eating disorder, my bowels wasn't working properly for years, was on laxitives, senna/lactulose etc it is a miracle I got myself off them, I was drinking prune juice for years after that. I need to strenghen the parastitic movement of my bowels really, If I eat this way I do find it better. I could go futher of the amounts of problems I've had with my bowels, but I don't want to go into too much detail lol! I do exersize everyday & drink two litres of water, Ive always been religous with drinking water when I had kidney stones when I was 26, that was due to high protein/ low carb diet.
If I cut fats my hips will play up grind & get stiff, I tried it before, I will also loose to much weight, it is the fats that keep the weight on for me by my previous experience of trying to cut them. As I am only 6st 11 I really can't afford to loose anymore. I suppose a person at a normal or healthy weight would do fine eating that way, as loosing that bit of weight would not hinder them, you know?
cheers sweetie
I can relate.
I used to be 133lbs (9.5 Stone) 4 years ago. I am 6' 1" (185 cm) tall. I had virtually no weight to loose. The fruit and greens helped me gain the healthy weight I needed back. Now I'm 160lbs (11.4 stone).
I think if we eat foods that are healthy for us our body will naturally find its healthy weight.
Brill that you have gained weight sweets, yes I agree about what you said, I just wish I consume more and feel comfortable doing so, thats why I eat liitle & often
Start taking your saliva ph first thing every morning, so you'll know if you are too acidic. Also, read the book "The Myth of Osteoporosis". Many thin women are wrongly diagnosed and the scan machines they use will often give different numbers, because they don't calibrate the machines to be consistent. Maybe get a second and third opinion.
Eat magnesium and silica rich foods. Drink nettle and horsetail teas- I've read lots of stories of osteoporosis healing from these silica-rich herbs. I've even read an herbalist's account of one elderly lady's cavities filling themselves in.
Can you handle bouncing on a rebounder? It's fab for increasing bone strength!

I was at a red light. Same thing also happened to me when Rudy Guiliani crossed in front of my car. Hitting the gas did occur to me for a second or two.
