So my parents made me read this article in a news paper. It was about a family on a raw vegan diet, and the chicks kids had gotten holes in their teeth and were stick thin...and they all craved dairy.
So it looks like raw made them ill.
They ate loads of fruit, veg and seeds and took b12 and d supplements, yet they were sick....
I can't find an expination for my parents, I can't even find one to give to myself...
Wow, I'm so mad about this, great idea about writing in Chris, I am off to do that. Please join me! I really think people need to know about how amazing raw food is, we should be getting this out to as many people as possible.
too much fruit consumption seems to be the problem for the above vegan family. it wreaks havoc on your teeth - it also depends on what types of fruit it was - long last fruitarians use a wide range of fruits/and some greens if need be, the older fruitarians have become very instinctive eaters and seem to be more aligned with nature, others do vigorous training to balance there systems out and don't get these adverse results.
over all its still the media - they try to condemn anything good and many fall for it - the blow every little thing out of proportion and leave the facts out. if they craved anything going raw then they all went at it way too fast & put there bodies into shock, not a good thing if your reason for doing it is for health reasons - starting out you must be kind to your body and ease into it and start out at a percentage of raw that you can handle and go slowly from there.
But I'm sure most people her have said the same things - i just haven't read the replies yet.

Kale and Lambsquarter will give you just as much calcium as milk will. And, these veggies give you an animal cruelty-free stamp of approval.
Don't let others curb your idealism, especially since you and you alone know your body's needs. I alsways retort "I'm sorry you think I should be eating different, but do I look unhealthy to you? Am I missing something?"
There are so many factors involved in good raw health, that if we don't have the details, how can we know the truth of what happened? Perhaps they didn't take enough greens in the form of calcium which would explain the dairy craving.
I have always read that drinking milk causes you to become acidic and the body dissolves calcium from your bones and teeth to alkalise your blood thus causing oesteoporisis and other ailments connected with acidity.
Surely this happens with raw milk too? It is the animal protein in the milk that causes the problems no?
The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
