okay so i just spent $150 on the Breville Juice Fountain. I am VERY excited but also doubting that I should have spent this much...am I really going to use it? I LOVE my blender which I make green smoothies in every morning but was getting bored and have read so many great things about juices. can someone motivate me and assure me that this was money well spent? great juice recipes would also be extremely encouraging! :) i'm honestly excited about simply juicing a few oranges and being able to drink pure organic fresh orange juice for once.
thanks guys! :)
p.s. my boss bought a snapple goji punch juice drink today (what the fudge??), thinking he was impressing me with his natural (or lack there of) drink. i did give him a thumbs up since it's a step away from his usual coke (eeeek!) ....well i went onto snapple's website to see what information they had to offer their consumers on this "immunity drink" and thought i'd humor you all with what i saw.......
"Defend your body! Help support your immune system. Did you know that in some remote places of the world, living to 100 years is not uncommon? No, not Long Island, but a 1,900 mile-long mountain range known as the Himalayas. So what’s the secret? A tiny red-orange fruit that just might be the world’s most powerful food: the Goji Berry. If you have not yet heard of the Goji Berry, you are not alone. While it’s been part of traditional Asian culture for countless generation, its benefits have remained a mystery to most of the world. . . until now."
this makes me laugh and at the same time gets me heated. what does SNAPPLE know about the goji berry and do they think they're funny with their Long Island reference? I live on long island (not something to brag about) and while we may be REMOTE from the rest of the country (again, not something to brag about), no one here is living to 100...especially with our god damn water system that is giving more people cancer than doing what it should be doing. (i know too many people who've been diagnosed with some sort of cancer and cannot help but blame our water for most of this damage and only hope that growing up on filtered water and now living the raw lifestyle might keep me in the minority of the population here.) has anyone come up with a fresh goji berry juice recipe? that'd be fantastic! ....anyways, i just spent way too much precious time and energy complaining about snapple. i'm going to step away from the computer and indulge in my new fabbbbulous juicer! hooorayy!!
