Gum disease is apparently the number 1 disease.
Which remedies have you found effective?
I have tried Fred P's tooth soap, but was dissapointed, and found it to be no better than a liquid soap, like Dr. Bronner's.
I have heard that some people use hydrogen peroxide, also feel that this could create free radical damage. I sometimes use a sea salt mouth wash.

I use tooth soap from here http://www.perfect-prescription.com/, not sure if that's the one you use but I really like it. I also occasionally rub neem oil on my gums, I just put a drop or two on my toothbrush and rub it around my gums and I also occasionally swish around magnesium oil. I was having a hard time with my gums because of all the citrus I was eating (i think) so now I also try and drink through a straw (i found some glass ones from sunfood.com) and/or rinse with a little water after eating anything sweet or with citrus.
The bottle lists the ingredients as follows: saponified coconut palm, extra virgin olive oils, filtered water and essential oils. It doesn't list out the oils.
Just remembered another product I've seen, but not tried. Sunfood.com has something called gum joy oil. I know alot of people on david wolfes best day ever website use it. I've really only heard of people only using gum joy oil or the toothsoap that I have, so I'm not sure about the product you are using.
Wish that worked for me. My teeth were good before going raw, but I did have bleeding gums (mostly when I went to the dentist and the hygienist would ram the floss between my teeth and then tell me I needed to floss more... sheesh). The more raw my diet got, the worse my teeth and gums got. Now my teeth are sensitive as hell (just opening my mouth and letting the outside air in will do it!) and my gums bleed all the time (even from just brushing). I never had problems like this before going raw.
thanks debbie.
i wish this happened for me.
i have the latest electric toothbrush, and floss almost daily the teeth i can get to.
i am 95% raw.
but no miracles for me!
i only drink red bush tea and herbal teas, yes quite hot, and quite a few cups a day.
do you think it's worth cutting them out, or maybe just drinking them warm instead of hot?
i don't drink coffee any more, or alcohol.
Grapfruit seed extract is supposed to be pretty remarkable at reversing many ailments, including gum disease:
"Gingivitis is most often caused by bacteria, although fungi and viruses may also be involved. A build-up of plaque indicates the presence of certain bacteria that bind minerals and deposit them at the gum line. Excessive plaque causes gums to recede and leads to a loss of teeth. Gingivitis can also be aggravated by nutritional deficiencies(typically a lack of vitamins A and C).
Gingivitis is linked to many other health concerns, including heart disease, kidney disease, and premature childbirth. Gum disease has also been linked to a deficiency of CoEnzymeQ10.
For general gum care, dilute five to ten drops GSE in six to eight ounces of water; swish and rinse. Do not apply GSE concentrate to teeth or gums directly: its acidic properties could result in erosion with prolonged use. Also, consider using a dental gel made with GSE."
i'm defo gonna go for luke warm teas, for the next month, and see what happens debbie! i'm very excited about this!
although it's hard to give up something piping hot, on a raw diet, but with spring on the way hopefully, it's good timing.
i think it is probably the heat rather than the tea itself, which really should be a good mouth wash!
let the experiment commence!
i've got some spelt sprouting, by the way, inspired to make essene style bread, or maybe truffles, hmm, sprouted spelt sweet truffles, i wonder how that would taste. actually i made them once before, years ago for a pot luck, but they weren't sweet enough. time to have another go.

I think it's rather imprudent to say climate change is a myth based on what these emails say. Who were the scientists involved, how were these emails un...
for people who becomes aware of this latest scandal, the one presented these recent days, and still are not deeply disturbed by this...for these people, nothing noone says can convince them to see the other perspective..for now.
yeah that is all fair to know, even though there's quite alot of attempts at personal attacks and discrediting people in these matters rather than just deliver straight answers to the questions.

After the third or fourth day I seem to function better then when I am eating heavy meals. My last fast I was walking eveyday. I just feel great when I am fasting.
