i have quite a ridiculous collection of raw recipe books, and i thought it might be fun for people to post their favorites, and then their favorite recipe from that book!
mine are~
Raw Food Real World~ the lasagna
The Raw Food Detox Diet~ the classic avocado salad (i dont remember the exact names of the recipes)
Raw Food Life Force Energy~ the corn chowder
Living Cuisine~ the strawberry milkshake and her carrot soupe recipe and the pesto stuffed mushrooms (really like this one)
I have a addiction to raw food cookbooks...I only wish I had enough time to make all the recipes...I find myself laying in bed at night reading them like a novel!! hehe
Rawvolution: Coconut Haystackes
RawFood Made Easy: Partait of Chocolate Mousse &Vanilla Cream Sauce
It is yummy!! We have a great place to pick blueberries in the summer here and I just can't wait until they are in season again...I make a few of them at a time and keep them in the freezer!!! Worth making!!! xox

I do this too! I had to buy a new bookcase for all my recipe books (a lot are cooked ones still) but its so nice to sit or lie with a good raw recipe book.
My favourite book is often my newest one, but I do love Ani Phyo - the mango cobbler and pecan pie are delicious. Mmmmm

Sounds so yummy...
I'm usually not a recipe-person at all, so I don't have raw cookbooks yet. I bought a million vegan ones in my non-raw life before though and they always ended up standing in my shelf, because... as I said, I'm just not able to follow recipes and prefer to make up something that is appealing exactly at the moment when I enter the kitchen :)
Although, I heard so many good review from Ani Phyo (and I love her videos on youtube!), that I'm now considering buying her book!
Just a question: Do the recipes require a dehydrator or other fancy kitchen gadgets a lot? I'm a quite simple-(un)cooking girl and only own a small cheapo-blender (I dry my essene bread in front of my radiator *g*)...
Or do you have any other raw cook books to recommend which don't ask for "special equiment" too much?
or if u don't feel like buying you can always check the site http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/ and get newsletters on great tips on all sorts of inspiring health matters related to the raw food movement.
this site offers great monthly meal plans too
one of my favorite soups that i will be having for lunch in an hour is:
tomatoes, grapfruit, cucumber and avacado with mint leaves
this is so far my favorite meal! it is so pink and pretty too.
saharaw, is that peppermint or spearmint leaves? i know it sounds silly, but they both taste really different to me and we had some mint growing in our backyard (not sure what kind) that tasted awful, like toothpaste, and made me get a stomach ache even tho mint is supposed to soothe stomach aches. this soup sounds really good which is why i'm asking. i'd like to make it.
i love raw food real world, but really struggle with 'young thai coconuts' - several of the recipes i like the look of call for them, and i cannot find them.
does anyone know a substitute?
