Im curious as to how others have gone with the transition to raw food and its effect on their skin.
I have moderate acne around my jaw line and neck area it did improve when i first went raw but seems to pop up( Punt Intented) still even when i am strictly 100% raw. if anyone has had any experiences that can enlighten me i would be so thankful...

i have been eating raw foods for 6 years...i had cystic acne pre raw...and when i went to eating raw vegan whole ripe raw and organic foods,it went away and my hormones balanced also...
it takes time though,as the body has to clean out first before it can get ride of the gunk that causes the acne :)

that's so great that it went away for you!
i've had bad skin for 16 years now and it's never been as bad as it is now, even when it was cystic (i think due to dairy) it was only concentrated in a small area, now it's a car crash all over and i really don't think mine is an ongoing detox, it's a total reaction to what i'm eating which is obvious to me now judging by what's happened over the last four days
i really wish it was just a clean out but i know it's not :(
i think everyone is different and as well going on chinese medicine the raw food is dampening and is made worse by living in a cold damp climate. i think these things play a part too..
I agree with you, Emma... and I am so happy for those of you who found raw to work to make your skin beautiful. I, too, tried forever to just live through the "detox" stage ..always hoping that things would improve.. they did not.. only when I eliminated the high glycemic foods did things get better.... everyone is different.. you have to listen to your own body.... and I am like you, Emma.. when my face is totally broken out I feel horrible! By the way, I'm 49 now and have been through the bad skin stuff most of my life.. it's been trial and error to find a way of eating that works for me... wish someone had told all this to ME years ago...
2 apples
10 pineapple guavas
small cup steamed, sprouted black beans with raw spinach, pepper, tomato, cilantro (no salt)
2 sticks celery
6 red bananas
10 more pineapple guavas
7 satsuma tangerines
1 pomegranate
10 dates
I have not used the stuff for years, it gives me heart palpitations.
but when I did use the stuff my 1st choice was liquid (especially the flavored ones they have like toffee)
2nd choice: white, which is more processed, but I can not even stomach ...
Soft rock is soft, not driving rock, but soft gushy love songs, romantic, smooth..stuff you are embarrassed to admit you like.
Stuff that makes you imagine you are swimming with sea horses, or hanging out on a rainbow with your love.
Only because Suvine asked me to.
I have almost no idea what qualifies as soft rock, but if most of the music here is any indication, that's probably because I don't actually like soft rock. For the most part. Does Queen qualify as soft rock? I ha...
