Give it to me Raw

I've been experimenting with various superfoods. After 3 plus years raw I thought I should see what the fuss is all about.
So I love the algaes, and a couple of other things which have made me feel great. But then there's Maca...now I always thought that should be The One for me because I used to have a hormone inbalance which has been healing since I went raw, and I know maca's supposed to be great for that. So I tried it, I put it in some orange juice and just chugged it down, I retched straight away, but I managed to keep it down. Then after a couple of hours of what felt like sea sickness I threw up violently everywhere. This was hours ago and I still feel pretty rotten.
Has anyone else had this kind of reaction with maca? I had 2 tablespoons of organic maca whch I got off Shazzie's website.

I read somewhere that maca has stronger effects on men. Maybe this is one of them. Or maybe I just need a stronger dose. Obviously I'll have to research this now and secretly add it to my husbands smoothies.

Also, the sunfood.com website has a product called extreme maca, not sure how much more intense the results would be.
I'd be hesitant about ascribing sexual potency enhancement qualities to maca. Earlier in this thread a woman was saying how positive it's affected her, but not her husband. "Billions" is saying how it's improved his, but at 22!?! I use it daily, about a tablespoon a day. I don't know I'd say one way or the other whether it has had an effect. It hasn't hurt, I can say that much. Placebo? And besides, how long would one have to take it for it to work?

they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.

Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found. I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen. Healing with whole foods is a great start..

I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports: 1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs 2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...

Because we believe we are dying. Fact is there is no such thing as "natural causes" or "dying of old age" death is always the result of sickness and disease, of which, all are preventable. I choose to not buy into the 'I am dying' thing, it's the...
