This is weird! Especially how they keep saying she is eating -nothing. Is she fat under the chin, like she has a serious thyroid problem in real life? Or did they add that and then bring her down to her real size? Also, I saw her take two sips total. So what a stupid, discouraging twisted take on health. Although some people may think a couple sips and look, a new weight loss fad, but come on, it looked like she needed the exorcist.

lol! I love that episode, it's so scary. This is what it is about, if I remember correctly: (yes, her character is in a fat suit - that's Amy Adams from "Enchanted")
Her character has a weight problem and to lose weight, she starts drinking only green smoothies. But the greens having been growing near some of the special meteor rocks that came down when Clark Kent arrived in Smallville as a child. The meteor rocks can affect people in a magical way and give them "superpowers" - for good or bad. In this case, the rock contaminated the greens to make them sort of magical.
The meteor rocks gave the greens she's eating the power to make her lose weight VERY quickly, but her body also craves the nutrients she's lost from losing 20 pounds in only a few minutes. So her character also gains the ability from the magical meteor rocks to suck the nutrients and fat out of other living beings to supplement her sudden and drastic weight lose - in this episode, she kills a guy by sucking out all his body fat and she does the same to a moose. It's incredibly freaky, because the guy looks like dried leather by the time she's sucked all the nutrients out of him, and he just looks incredibly gaunt and falls over, dead.
But really, she was eating ONLY green smoothies in that episode to lose weight quickly. A couple bananas and tons of greens aren't enough to sustain you, calorie wise. Plus, because the greens were magical so she lost around 70 pounds within in a few days - technically, she was starving herself. It isn't in that clip, but there are images in the episode of her room, and she had pictures of anorexic girls showing off their rib cages all over her room, and she even pasted her head on an anorexic doll. No idea where they found an anorexic doll, but it was a essentially a Barbie with VERY visible ribs. I think the father had a right to be concerned lol. She is definitely NOT the picture of healthy living - that clip is misleading.

Thank you for all the info., it is interesting. I do not watch very much television any more, but I did just watch the movie Superman, which I had not seen in years. I actually did see Smallville once or twice, now that I think of it. Someone below asked if , it might be a Kryptonite (I guess from the meteors) smoothie?
I've seen some kind of green smoothie being drunk by the main character in the show Private Practice (the Gray's Anatomy spin-off) in the employee pantry, when the other characters are drinking coffee. This is a great example of consuming green drinks in a public forum, even if it is somewhat subliminal.

Haha, yes, it is the Kryptonite that infected the greens - I think they were right in the garden or around the soil. This is a really old episode, from season 2 or 3 I think. One of the recurring themes in Smallville is that the Kryptonite infects people and things and gives them "powers."
PLA- have you had your ferritin (iron-storing protein) levels checked? You can have normal iron but low ferritin, and thus still have anemia symptoms. Or you can have leaky bool vessels due to spleen qi deficiency. Look at your tongue 1st thing in...
Thats interesting but would the body react differently to fruit sugars as opposed to all the other sugars? I didn't have these spots when I spent most of my time partying and living on junkfood.....
