I am feeling absolutely terrible today. I felt the same yesterday. My head feels cloudy and all I want to do is sleep. I cant concentrate on anything. I keep dazing off into space. I have been raw for three days now and have been doing pretty well with eating with the exception of nuts. I have this strong craving for nuts. I think I've eaten enough for fat content for the week! Anyway has anyone had these symptoms?
Some people experience those symptoms with... you guessed it... nuts. Or other fats. If you've eaten your fat allotment for the entire week, you've probably overdone it.
okay also experiencing the same feelings, only I wake up in the morning with a stuffy nose that drains all morning. Is this normal, because I dont feel sick nor is anyone in my family sick.....?
hummm, maybe I am overdoing the nuts. Yesterday and today I had apricots filled with macadamia nuts, honey and dried apricots. It was soooo yummy but, it gets me thinking......
I think it's a bit irresponsible for anyone to give you advice without you giving a complete breakdown of everything you're eating/drinking, any supplements etc., your activity levels, and your state of mind.
Yes, and they could well be nothing to do with food.
As we are all so interested in diet, we're very quick to try to pin our low days on something we've eaten, or something missing in our diets.
After trying to do this over the years (even pre-raw), then adjusting my diet in various ways to compensate, I've come to the conclusion that my 'cloudy' days, where I want to crawl into bed at 9 pm, are almost all to do with 'frame of mind', often connected with events in my life that are nothing to do with food.
Sleep is needed for psychological 'detoxing' as well as physical.
It could be toxins causing the symptoms. I use Liquid Zeolite to remove toxins. If I had your symptoms, I might do a green juice fast for one day, or eat a few tablespoons of Vitamineral Green throughout the day, or drink a couple shots of wheatgrass juice. Good luck!
Yes !!!! Same here.... I used to eat TONs of meat.. prior to going raw... (I really did not transistion). I have a friend at work doing this with me - he feels the same.
We added a cooked veg meal... this spring for awhile - seems to help slow the detox a bit.
Be sure to get your minerals - they can make a big difference. I have been at this .. 95%+ raw for 7 months... and still detoxing...
It really depends how bad of shape you were in previous to your "awakening"...
Lifestyle also plays an important role (stress, exercise, air quality, water quality)..etc..
thank you!!! I guess I have not transitioned, I just jumped in with both feet. Hee hee also I just started working out and I dont think I have been getting enough calories.
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
Yes, I believe two out of the four pineapples I've had the last several months have been alright with me, after having let them "ripen" for some days. The one that turned out the best was one I stored in a bag of ripening bananas. I did the same t...

Although we eschew the use of internal ‘bowel cleansing’ - there
are times when the ‘internal bath’ is indicated - such as when the
