Anybody here ever had a good or bad experience with feng shui? please tell me what you guys think! my mom wants to hire a consultant since her business is currently very stagnant.
Hmmm... My mom had a consultant come to our house years ago. This woman came highly recommended, I think, but all she did was rearrange things in each room in an odd way (it didn't look right, from a decor perspective). We didn't notice any positive difference at all.
But our whole house supposedly has bad feng shui, so maybe it just wasn't enough to do anything!
That's kind of cool. Although I've never consulted an expert, I've heard great things and how disasters have been supposedly avoided in spaces that have suffered from failure in the past.
I remember talking to Dov Charney of American Apparel once while he was changing around a store in New York's UES. He asked me what I thought and I really didn't like the change, but I told him "all change is good". I really believe this, even when it spells immediate disaster, good things eventually come around. Good luck to your mom!
Hi there--from my experience, I have to say that the basic rules really helped my living space. I think that on an intuitive level, our bodies take in information about our space that affects productivity in working spaces. Simple things, like having a corner in my home office with a plant in it, versus leaving as a dead zone or worse--putting a desk there and trying to work. Even with a lamp it felt completely wrong.
update: I never thought this would totally further change my perspective on life and really turn my life way around. I finally found someone for my mom and this guy is amazing! He isn't your typical feng shui master. Surprisingly, he focuses mostly on morality. if you live good then good will come to you. Of course this is only a superficial statement of everything I have learned in almost a month now. Maybe one day when I feel articulate enough, I'll write a full post about this. PLus the things I have encountered are quite bizarre or extremely mystical, I could say, to a lot of ppl..even to some here! haaha.
Here is a video of him..when he got interviewed by PBS!
What kind of business does she have? I may be willing to donate a phone call or two to help her move things along. - Sorry, but I couldn't get past Halliburton and McDonalds on the Video.
Thank you for the offer but things are steadily going really well. I'm telling you this guy is amazing. Of course, he's a vegetarian because how can one be so into buddhism and yet still eat meat? The video is just the surface. It does not capture of who he is and all of what he's done! You can't force someone to do something or eat something they don't want. All you can do is set by example..So the homeless people wanted mcdonalds..so he bought it for them. Everyone's in a different stage of growth.
i studied feng shui for years with a woman trained by a master from singapore and felt some effects from it but after studying VASTU, i have to say that this is more concrete in effectually realizing obvious results.
as for making changes, changes always come from within and reflect outwards. so one can never go wrong making internal changes as heaven is here on earth...heaven is WITHIN each and every one of us :)
Watch all three nights online. Some great info was given, but seemed like it was all about getting people to buy more and more products. All I know is that they made a TON of money.
I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.
Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
hi honey,
we did an experiment in school with ear candles. we set up one with a real person, followed directions perfectly...set up another the same way but instead of putting it in someones ear we just held it against a pillow...both candles had...
