I do water systems as part of my business and I try to stay on top of where the practical technology of home based purification systems is. From my experience, your system does not exist for a practical home system or a drinking water only system that takes care of toxic chemicals and microbiological danger to human health. For my discussions I have been assuming you want to remove any toxic chemicals and harmful microbiological contaminates with a filter.
I've already discussed Reverse Osmosis filters. By the way ,all of them use a disposable sediment pre-filter to protect the r/o membrane.
I'm assuming you don't want to drink home distilled water. A personal yuk for "dead" cooked water there.

The only theoretical thing I can think of for your preference is finding a way to take a KX Technologies extruded carbon filter cartridge after it is chemically saturated and treating it somehow without destroying it's integrity to remove the toxics, then sanitizing it biologically before reuse. I do not know the physics and chemistry of the technology to say if this would work. One of KX's scientists could address that. But how do you dispose of the concentrated toxics you just removed, wash them down the drain, back into the environment? That particular filter cartridge must be protected from fine sediment particles by a pre-filter,which are all disposable cartridges. By the way, this is the cartridge I use for my system and the company that makes it is a world leader in filtration technology.

But don't take my word for it. Start your research.

In my reality, living a life in harmony means being flexible and willing to accept compromises. As an older wise friend says: "walking the earth with firmly planted moccasins, while the head is in the clouds."

Hi Nicole, We don't need any salt at all, and in fact it's always toxic to the body. Salt is a rock, and no matter how small we smash it, it is an inorganic mineral which our bodies cannot really use. Organic sodium is needed by ever single cell ...
