I am wondering if anyone knows of a easy way to deal with my food scraps...... is composting the answer? If so how do i go about it? I live in an apartment, so the yard i have is shared.... any idea's?

i'm really curious about this, too! i also live in an apartment complex, but would love to find a use for all these food scraps, which is definitely the bulk of my trash. no help here, but i'm curious as to what everyone else does.
There is a lot of information on vermiculture which is what i will be doing i just keep my scraps in a bag for right now till is peak to someone with more experience.
That is a great idea, there is going to be a community garden this year in our town so maybe i will look into that. So can i put scraps right into plant soil and just leave it? Is it bad for food to go down the drain?
Abigail, have you heard anything directly? I am in a condo and would be interested in doing the same. I am going to check out a naturemill this weekend and will let you know how it goes.
