has anyone ever experienced this crazy pain/craving...
my sister (who has been raw before) had started raw again yesterday after eating a SAD for a while, and she was doing wonderful until about 7 pm, when she started experiencing this crazy pain:
"I started having intense cravings and my body started shaking. I felt antsy. My hands and toes were tingling. I wanted to crawl out of my own skin. Everything just felt so wrong. I tossed and turned restless in bed. I screamed. I cried.
I had never felt that intensely before. It was such an odd sensation. It felt like a cocaine addict's withdrawal."
Then, this morning:
"I woke up this morning with a "hangover". Head pounding, ears ringing, body aching."
Has anyone else ever experienced this, or anything like it?

In short, yes.
It sounds like a ferocious detox - although that's fast. But i've given up trying to predict or put rules on how my body detoxes. Recently I had a vicious detox - about a week in, it felt like I had been buried alive in invisible mud and my head was pounding like mad. It was so bad that I actually had a small black coffee to slow my liver down a bit. I know this isn't what a lot of raw peeps recommend but it worked well for me. I needed to "retox" myself for a bit just to slow things down.
I'd suggest your sister looks at her transistion more carefully and puts a phased plan into place. Especially look at reducing caffeine rather than stopping.
I know that now I have been healthy - when I revert to healthy eating, the detox is more rapid and efficient each time (and therefore more painful).

I don't know if it would be detox after just one day. It almost sounds like a food sensitivity or allergic reaction. Especially with the "hangover" in the morning. I get that sometimes after eating something that I know doesn't agree with me.

I wouldn't be alarmed unless you have other symptoms.
