I've started sunbathing from 9:00am-10:00am under the Tucson sun....
I have more energy than before.
I feel like I love my body more. I've struggled with eating disorders, so this is a big deal.
I suggest naked sunbathing for EVERYONE!
It is outrageously healing!
Yes, thanks for starting this! I never went out in the sun, period, clothed or naked, for over 2 decades until I started eating raw foods a couple of months ago. Now I find myself gravitating to it and going outside as much as I can. I guess the next level will be to start sunbathing - I've got the S. Fla. sun, the time, and the privacy, so I may as well just get out there. Thanks again!
Yes to naked sunbathing!!! I live in SF now which is a little cold sometimes- and I'm moving to Arizona in a week and a half...yeehaa!! So much sun, so warm....can't wait!! YAY!
Thanks for the post, Lucy.
Keep on doing things that make you feel great, the simple things are the easiest to look forward to. Summer in Melbourne means cold and rain and I have a puppy that likes to jump on my head if I sit down on the grass in my back yard. Hehe.
I've been seeing a lot about people sunbathing and not being afraid of soaking up the sun. As we all grew up hearing that tanning is bad and always to use sunblock; I'm wondering what the reasoning is behind being raw that makes it ok? Is it the fact that our bodies are inhabited by less toxins they can handle the extra rays? I could probably do some research on google about it, which i will, but i'd like to hear some of your input too...
I think that the super amount of omega-3's that we all consume through flax seeds help us not get burned as easily, however if I know that I am going to be out in the sun for longer than an hour like Lucy above, I will wear sunblock.

I don't think this exists for humans yet, unfortunately - but what I think would be the healthiest mattress (and virtually free of dust-mites, even bed-bugs which inflict some homes recently) for humans would be the same as the healthiest for pets...
