snobs?
So, a market near my parents house is FINALLY starting to carry some gourmet raw food options (david wolfe's cacao nibs, and earth cafe cheesecake)..anywho, some lady from earth cafe was there trying to sell their shit to people, so I went over to say hello and talk to her about their stuff. Man, not to sound mean or anything...but she was a total bitch. Had that whole "i'm better then you because I work at a raw food company blah blaah blah" thing going on...she kept putting people down and acting like her shit didn't stink (though, I think karma may be catching up since her teeth looked MAD gross, and her hair was all overprocessed). Total buzz kill. I'm never buying their products again! haha
anybody else run into people like this? I HATE when people act like they're better then everybody else, just because their overall health might be better....assholes

WORD. I've been to a few restaurants where the servers had the same disposition...kind of a turn off. People like that need to have expired mcdonalds thrown at them or something... haha

awe, yeah..she's probably a big fat hypocrite. haha
and this wasn't aimed ONLY at raw vegan douche bags, as i'm well aware there are assholes in every shape and form..it's more directed specifically towards those who follow this lifestyle, boost about it in other people's faces, and thus totally trash all the lovely things it can do for you as an individual when followed and done properly.

thats so awful. yea im a bit nervous sometimes cause im afraid people will be like oh you arent even good enough to eat this way. its a bit upsetting because thats not exactly positive feedback you get from eating raw :(

I have encountered some snobby posts on some other message boards. I think it is key to realize that we are all on our own path and all at different stages of developmet. I think sometimes people get caught up in this raw vegan idealistic mindset where their way is the only way.
You eat honey? I'm going to rattle off why your wrong and I'm right.
You still drink alcohol? Don't you know thats poison for your body? You can't be in my little club.
This whole movement will flourish better if we can all be more accepting....which can be hard at times. As an example, some people on this very forum partake in some practices that would have me running for the hills. The key is not to get caught up in someone else's path but focus on your own.
