raw birthday treat?
this week i'll be turning 21! it will also be my first birthday celebrated in the raw, which means the first birthday i celebrate without the traditional birthday cake. instead of just "making an exception" for this "special occasion," as some of my family have suggested, i want to make a really yummy and delicious raw dessert to celebrate both turning 21 and living raw. getting my hands on most any ingredients won't be a problem, but i am without a dehydrator.

Also if you look at the GTMR discussion -sarma soft corn tortilla recipe- there is a great link for recipes that someone posted for me, and other people said it is great too. It is for greenchefs? but if you go to that discussion you can press the link. It has great recipes (and pictures) for cakes, etc.

there is a wonderful recipe on Gone Raw (www.goneraw.com) for Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake (just search and it will come up) :D it doesn't need a dehydrator, looks stunning and a friend of mine who is raw has made it and highly recommends!!

Ohh, you must try Shazzie’s “Prince Pondicherry’s Cherry Cake”. I made it for my husband's b-day last month and it was a biiiig hit! You don't need a dehydrator for it, and it lasts very well in the fridge for a good a week if you have any left over. You can find the recipe in Naked Chocolate.
