One's own first urine of morning urine contain's many vitamins, hormones & nutrients that are essential for proper functioning of human body. Few toxins it contains are not harmfull for humans.

I have heard of this, and it sounds like a really wonderful practice. I totally respect anyone who is able to get past the "icky factor" of Western culture... unfortunately, I am not one of them just yet. Maybe in time :-) There was also a time just a couple of years ago when I thought "The Power Of Now" didn't make any sense, and was full of a bunch of mumbo jumbo, for lack of a better term. I also thought that I could never, or would never want to be a vegetarian, much less raw vegan.

Things change. Today I'm reading Eckhart Tolle's writings and it now makes perfect sense to me. And I'm eating a mostly vegan (still have sushi maybe once/month) and about 75% raw diet. So I will leave room for the possibility of one day drinking my own urine for health... but today is not that day :-)

Thanks for sharing your wonderful insights.

Hi Sanjay,

I discovered uropathy about 10 years ago with "Uropathy: The Most Powerful Holistic Therapy"
by Martin J. Lara, and my family and I have used its powerful properties as a remedies for many things since. Especially when they were newborns and their skin was red and splotchy, we aould apply a couple of dabs with a q-tipped soaked urine to our children's skins, which cleared their rash up within 24 hours.

Thank you for broaching this subject. Cosmetic and pharmaceutical recognize and extract ingredients for profit, why should we not benefit from what our own bodies produce?

I do object to your Yoga characterization of "milk." I would suggest that the milk drunk by most people in the world is a milk "product", that is, it is a highly processed and de-natured drink, far from the original and nourishing raw/live milk which babies get from their mothers and we from animals. And this is not getting into the factory farming of dairies--goes without saying that what is produced and then packaged as milk is not good for health, in fact, it is anti-health.

Cheers,
hibby

I also met Martin J. Lara years ago!!!!!!!!!
Do you know how I can find him?
I wanna sell his books in Spanish in my vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona :)
Actually, I started drinking my sacred nectar today!!!!!!!!!
Quite salty :)
It´s like a soup :)
And I know someone who wants to drink mine because I´m a 100% organic raw vegan :)
My exboyfriend loved to drink it and we´re not sex freaks, just supernatural people :)
LOL

For goodness sake don't take anyone's word for it - because either side can make a perfectly reasonable, logical and rational case for it; have your own experience and see what resonates for you in your reality. If nothing else you gain a satisfaction from the experience of being able to challenge the ick! belief system that has been handed to you by others.

What's the truth here? One truth is, that large numbers of people have practiced urine therapies over centuries of time, continuing to the present, and claim health benefits from it. Is there any credible evidence that it doesn't work or is harmful?

Hey Uti, you have a good point there. And no offense, but I appreciate the fact that you are discussing urine therapy and your name is UTI!
