This is a concept that has been around forever
more recently made popular by the book The Secret

Thanks Rae! Good point. One thing though that I found in "The Secret:, was its focus on the Universal Law of Attraction. However, I found it omitting pertinent information on the principles of intention, vibration, and other universal laws that impact what comes in and out of one's life. It is made to be a catch all manifestation book which frustrates people who get their emotions on track and yet don't see their desires.

I think the link Sebastian provided about how we create the characters in our lives does hold water. I tested this over the years and found that your point in the Secret alongside the one on subjective reality partner to create an interesting result. When you realize you can control outward consciousness because it is a projection of your own, your perception and emotions come more into balance.... I'm still a work in process though, because it is so easy to get caught up in the "plays we create in our lives."

I don't believe The Secret was meant to be a catch all manifestation book/movie. It just tapped the surface to help with the global shift that is taking place. You have to start somewhere and for many this helped open them up to the possibility that we are responsible for the experiences in our lives. Understanding the law of attraction has been the catalyst for opening up many souls to take responsibility for the energy they are sending out.

As you've mentioned there are many other Universal Laws to be explored and re-membered. The Secret and numerous other books have just been the starting point for many of us. Many of us are still a work in progress and becoming more aware of those areas we need to transform will be key in releasing the old energies and embracing the New.

Yes, you are correct, and I in no way intended to discredit the book or anyone's comments for that would never be my intention. My points were intended for those frustrated with the process (as I have been at times) as the LOA requires more than conscious thought but a pool of factors (as you mention). This community is filled with very evolved souls (as yourself) and for that I am grateful. However, there are still so many out there awaiting to become awakened which is why further exploration is key. Plus staying positive which, I think, is a re-training of the mind at times. I have found just when I come across a new spiritual precept, it has already been discovered and hence, I return back to my desire to know more of the unseen world...which is why I posted this DQ here :0)

Yes, I understood where you were coming from because I've read about many becoming frustrated with the process when things don't magically turn around. It can be a difficult process to shift around your whole entire belief system. Many people have a hard time believing and embracing change. I enjoyed the part in The Secret where the woman mentions that something in the back of your mind will tell you it's not possible,but you just keep telling yourself that it is. I think they did a very good job explaining it even though there is a bit more to it.

I think it's great that you've brought up this topic. I also love discussing the wonderful changes that are taking place Now. :-)

This is called the subjective reality. It's pretty interested and it changed my point of view towards life forever once I started reading on the subject.

If you're interested, check stevepavlina.com. Steve explains why it would be a 100% logic that we live in such an universe and how we can take advantage if this.

In fact, I'm not surprised to see this subject surface on a raw food forum because learning about those things is a part of personal development and raw food is a great part if it too.

Yes, there really is nothing anyone can talk about that we don't already know. The thing is everything has already been created it's all about re-membering and manifesting it into this new world we are co-creating at this time. It's a delightful experience and I'm so looking forward to the global enlightenment that is already occurring.

Yeah, don't they discuss this in "Course in Miracles"? I think the Seth books talk about it too. The planet is reaching spiritual awakening, and it is coming fairly rapidly...alongside global peace.

I've not read the entirety of ACIM. Just a few of the books pertaining to the Course. I also have a Seth book I've not read. I'm terrible I buy books and then never read them. LOL But I've been going within for guidance. Alot of what is shared in ACIM are the kinds of messages I receive everyday. When I woke up after watching The Secret I started channeling and opening up to guidance from Jesus. My mission here is to help awaken the Christ Consciousness in others. I still have the inner struggles that everyone else does especially when I'm wondering how I'm supposed to accomplish this.

Thanks Sebastien. I read several of Steve's articles and found it in line with a great deal of what I came to conclude about 7 years ago. I remember waking up one morning after I had gone through an intense spiritual awakening and thought, "All the people in my life are merely characters I have created to fit a role of something I need to live out in my life." I am not sure I believe fully everything he discusses but there is much truth. One consideration is that what happens when one of the characters we have created via our consciousness "rebels" or behaves opposite of our intention even when we are in a place of love? Kind of like the "I've created a monster theory.

Thank You for the lovely re-minder. I have thought about this especially given the fact that so many of us have heard that we are reflections of one another and I've also heard it mentioned that we are each other.

The power of love is so strong that I do not believe anything other than love can be attracted to it. I speak from experience from my own spiritual awakening. People are very drawn to you and they don't know why when you are truly in a state of grace and unconditional love. I am not saying that you won't notice others that are not in alignment with love. But you may not have created it since there are other forces in this existence with you.
