Give it to me Raw

we can buy the hemp seed oil, but it is still illegal to sell whole hemp seed here. :( which is really not fair! apparently trials are being undertaken to grow hemp commercially, but i haven't heard anything about the subject for a long time. methinks it is time to make some noise!!!

anyone else on this board live in a country or state where hemp is illegal?

it is so ridiculous! there is a massive list of countries that grow and process hemp, but not little New Zealand ..... cos they are afraid if we grow it, someone will try to smoke it ... lol, sigh!

can you order it from elsewhere?

I remember when I was in Sydney, the hemp products said 'pet food' on the package, but i asked the seller and he said, he has to put that label cause technically according to the govt humans can't consume it.

well it cannot be legally sold as whole hemp seed here (i guess cos people might decide to plant some!!) .... so i assume that trying to buy it offshore and get it into the country would also be a problem. the pet food angle is an interesting one - did you actually buy it from a pet store? or was that just the packaging when you ordered it online or from somewhere else?

Purewellbeing.com are selling crushed hemp now. Apparently you can sell the crushed hemp seed for use as animal food, but it is totally fine for human consumption as well

lol. did you see the recipe in their newsletter for the banana coconut pie? it has the hempseed in it :) and yeah, i am sure cat like crackers ;)

You need a license to grow it. And you can't import it or bring it back into the country with you. Customs are really strict with stuff like that here. It is entirely ridiculous!

Can't stand stevia, just tastes wrong, chemical or something. There was a time when I didn't go a day without Agave but I don't have a need for it anymore.
