Give it to me Raw

Carrie

Very simple recipes, i'm still hungry and sleep....

Can anyone suggest any really simple recipes? I'd like to start trying things but I don't have a blender or anything fancy to make things with. I just want to slow down and give my body a break but at this point fasting is a little too much to get my head around if I plan it, most of the time its just that I realize after a really busy day around 5pm that I haven't eaten and I just do it since i'm half way there anyway. I'm craving a basil and tomato salad, I saw it last night on tv and it seems easy enough. I'd like really simple things like that. Another thing is that I tend to get hungry pretty fast while i'm raw which is why i'm off and on at this point. Is there any cure for that? I also get sleepy too but its not a big deal since i'm always sleepy, I just feel like I can never calm down enough to go into a deep restful sleep. One more thing, I love nature's first food green powder but it seems that i'm allergic to it now, is there anything that I can do to stop having a bad reaction to it? I sneeze so much and my eyes are itchy and get red and its just terrible. I didn't have that reaction when I first started using it and then after I got the second and third bottle it just came on all of a sudden. The look of the bottle that its in seems to be smaller than the orignal so i'm wondering if the recipe itself has changed.

I got started with my favorite fruits, and then added veggies... I was eating Apples, Peaches, Strawberries for like three days straight (not the best as a diabetic).... Now I am eating mostly celery, spinach, carrots and then adding fruits. I went all in though and got a Blendtec Blender, 9 Tray Excalibur Dehydrator, Juicer (getting a Greenstar Blender soon).... We also join a local farm coop (CSA) and so we get a collection of stuff...

The best advise that I can give is to K.I.S.S. (Keep It Super Simple) and just eat what you like, and replace one meal at a time. I am still only about 50% but I go up to 90% then back down (still fighting my own food demons). So just keep it super simple.

I like a simple kale and avo salad. Get a bunch of Kale (it will get smaller, so use more than you think you want), massage into it, with your hands, olive oil, sea salt, and lemon juice. Then add chunks of avocado and massage again. SO easy. A very quick meal if you need to rush off to a potluck, or just need something filling for dinner in a jiffy.
Greens help cut down on cravings so the more you eat, the easier it is to not eat non-raw stuff. Diff. types of greens make the monotony lesson.
Another great thing is to make a few dressings ahead of time, that way you can just have greens in the fridge and make a salad whenever you're hungry. They last about a week, usually.
I am not so good about too many nuts and dried fruit, but I indulge only when I am tired and have NOTHING. Which is rare.
Feel free to email if you want more tips.

I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports: 1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs 2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...

I'm feeling deprived; I might have been a little too...early for these books. Sounds like they might be worth checking out though as I love a good children's book. Probably the right emotional level for me...
