I'm still new so my repertoire is limited but that WILL change! A couple of my faves right now are: corn chips (if you want my version just ask!) and apple cookies (recipe). YUM! I tried starting a discussion here if anyone wants to contribute for a good pizza crust recipe. :)
Chips and Crackers. It's usually whatever I feel like making or whatever fresh veggies I have on hand. I through them in the blender with some Braggs or Lemon, Some flax and whir it up. Spread it thin for chips or thicker for crackers. I've been doing this long before I even started to work on becoming raw.
I think my favorite is Salsa (tomatoes, cilantro, onions, and sometimes corn) with flax, lime and then after it's spread I sprinkle the tops lightly with sesame seeds. Yum.
Mmmm, salsa crackers? That sounds great (except for the cilantro part - I'd leave that out since I'm not a fan or use parsely - what do you think?) Anyway, you gave me some ideas. :) Thanks.
Parsley would be a good sub. I like to have a little green in there, not that it shows once you blend it smooth. It just gives it another level of flavor that's nice to have. It makes a great snack.
I just got my hands on some Chia Seeds... equal parts chia seeds and water... soak for over an hour. put in the vita mix with some fresh young coconut meat, vanilla agave, and a little splash of coconut water.... Made the best damn vanilla pudding ever!!!! My whole family loved it and my 5 year old asked for seconds.
The finished product is like tapioca pudding and so good for the tummy/digestion!!
Mushrooms marinaded in nama shoyu (or salt) and cold pressed olive oil and lemon juice for 2 hours. Then, dip the mushrooms in ground buckwheat (buckwheat mixed with curry and cayenne). Place on dehydrator trays and dehydrate for 4 hours at 90 degrees. A similar recipe is at goneraw.com, called No Schicken Kebabs.
i love making bread, crackers, cookies, savoury seeds, fruitcake, crunchy kale etc. check out my cornbread sandwich recipe on my profile page, it was yummy.
