Raw Spirit Festival East Coast (DC/Maryland Area)

The Patuxent River 4-H Center is a lovely, secluded 74 acre park used for environmental education. There you'll find wide open fields, flowery meadows, and a peaceful forest trail with glimpses of a hidden stream. Venture out on a short hike down to the gently flowing Patuxent river with wooded banks

Thundera! - if you check the rawspiritfest website, there is a page where they talk about where to stay. My sister lives close by, but I decided that I wanted to catch some outdoor fresh air as well. So I have been trawling the local campgrounds. None of them seem close enough, and it sort of pains me to *drive* 5 miles in a van each day to get to raw spirit -
I am also thinking of biking it to get me from the camp sites to the 4-H center.... I have a bike rack with me.

Hey - on another train of thought - has anyone looked into the Duncan campground? It is a bit closer to 4-H... About 5 miles. Still seems a bit far - but...

I just connected with the folks at the Watkins regional park. I requested a site. It has capacity for up to 6 people. Looked pretty straight-forward.

I am going to stay there for Friday and Saturday night. If anyone is also in the park - or looking for a place there, give me a ping. Here - or on Facebook. www.facebook/livenow.

I have no idea what to expect, but I am really looking forward to this. I will be tented - with a British and Canadian flag - and what a cool idea it would be to have had a GI2MR flag as well?!?!
